HAUNTED MANSION

On a bright sunny morning Aron and I got out from the house. Kevin and the others were waiting near the car. They were all looking at the trunk of the car.

'Everything is here right?' Aron asked dumping another backpack inside.

'Let's go through the list again' Kevin began to name everything while everyone helped him to check. Finally he finished and looked up at us 'done and done'

'Alright let's get going' we all got in the car.

Our parents had left for work already but they knew about us going away for the weekend. Kevin joined us this time. Our plan for the day was to stay in a particular hotel. Also we would be going to tour around another town nearby.

'I've been looking at this map and it's really nice' I sat in the back with Terence and Kevin. I searched the map which I had looked so much that I knew the area quite well.

'Any nice places nearby?' Aron asked. He was driving the car.

'Nice...would a haunted house be nice?' I asked smiling.

'Obviously' they all chorused together.

I laughed 'Rosita Mansion. Known for the gruesome murder' I began. Everyone listened to me 'in 1910, it was only a two story building, and the family that lived there quite didn't like outsiders. They were strange. In 1925, the town got worried that they weren't seen or be heard of. And they were horrified to find out that the two daughters were rapped and mutilated, buried under hay' I grimaced. The others weren't also pleased with what they heard. 'The mother was also found with severe injuries, also that she had been bounded on her bed. She was stabbed 30 times at various places' I gulped and looked at everyone 'this is truly gruesome'

'Terrifying' the others agreed.

'The father was killed inside the barn where the girls were found too'

'Who is the killer?' Aron asked.

'No one knows who had done it. The police had not found any clue and the case was closed' I was about to continue but Terence said 'if it were the police now, they did find out'

'I got a theory' Kevin began 'the killer had rapped the girls maybe when the father was watching...and then he killed the father than went to the mother, who could have been sleeping at that time?'

We all thought about it 'yeah, that's a good theory too'

'That is truly horrifying' Travis said 'is there more to it?'

'There is' I replied 'the building was renewed, turned to a mansion and there housed students. They all felt something evil inside the mansion. After several reporting and even finding out that a girl got insane, the place was shut down' I showed Terence and Kevin the pictures of the mansion.

'The place looked nice too after the renewal, but look at it now' they commented.

'Hey let me see' Travis looked back. He took the phone and showed it to Aron too.

'Even if the story goes like that, we should go there. In the morning that is' Aron said.

We all agreed to it immediately. It took half the day to get to the hotel. Even the hotel looked spooky with the ancient furniture. We all had booked a master bedroom. The lady at the reception was astonished that we all stayed together. She was eyeing me in a weird way when Aron said 'she is our sister, can't simply let her be alone'

She seemed to take it in very well. And she even saw our identification which made her sigh with relief.

The hotel was packed with people. We didn't think there would be that many people since it was so old looking. But everyone had a reason. This was a cheap place to stay.
