There was nothing scarier than going to explore a haunted asylum. Not to mention, when it was night time. It wasn't my idea to go. Although I always been going to adventures, this was out of the context. But still, I'm not the only one going. My brothers have joined me on this mission. And there was someone else with us too.

Kevin. After his recovery, he lived with us for quite a while before some people adopted him. We were still neighbors and pretty much are like a family. My eldest brother wasn't sure to bring him at first. He was just 12 years old. Back when I was 12, we always went out alone. So I guess he considered and let him come along. As we packed up secretly to go out inside my brother's room I glanced at Kevin. Who could have known that he would change to be a good boy? He wasn't hunched or anything now. He grew taller and still bared some scars from the past, and he even had an eye patch. Many people funded for his operations and with good skills he turned out fine.

'Alright. Everyone knows the plan right?' my eldest brother Aron asked looking around.

'Yes sir' I saluted. The others joined in too.

'Right' he nodded 'you know the rules... should I repeat them or?'

'Just as a reminder, yeah' Terrence, the second eldest shrugged. His twin nodded in agreement.

'no one shouts, no one calls each other's names, we use sign language and also our secret sounds to communicate' he continued 'if a ghost comes and say hi, just run out as fast as you can, don't stick to the others, just run'

'Can't leave my twin here though' Terrence elbowed Trevor who shook his head 'you will be the one begging not to leave'

'You both can stick together' Aron sighed 'but hey, everyone just make sure you do the right thing'

'Yes sir' we all chorused together.

'Let's go'

Aron was 20 years old while the twins were 19, I was the third one in the family and now 17. Considering our age difference we really stick together with these adventures. And I'm glad they bring me to everywhere despite being the girl.

I was stopped by Kevin. He stood beside me, his hands held something in-between mine. I hated it when I realized that he had grown taller than me. Boys and their puberty.

'Take this' he whispered.

It was a little necklace with a moon as a stud. He quickly put it around my neck and gazed at me. 'Good' he commented.

I smiled. I didn't know why he suddenly thought of giving me a necklace but I guess it was okay.

It took us a while to get to our destination. We reached an entrance which I remember from the daytime was very old looking. The gates were rusted and almost falling apart. Part of it was actually, which would make It easier for us to go in. the whole place was over grown with trees and barely showed the large building behind.

'I'll go park the car somewhere, stay inside' my brother said and left us at the gates.

We all got in waited for him to arrive. He came no sooner and warned us that there was a police car nearby. If they knew we were up to this mischief, then we surely be punished for it. Especially my brothers, bringing underage kids along to such a spooky place.

We cut through the little grassy path. From the previous pictures taken of the asylum, the whole place was having brick pavements, and a garden on either side. It was more like the peaceful place for the patients. No asylum was good as they seem.

The asylum was closed in 1990 when the patients began to die of seizures and other medical conditions. Almost all the patients had AIDs which was the mystery here. My guess is that the doctors have been doing something nasty like injecting the virus into them and testing. Human testing that is.
