Suaves POV
______________________________
I saw Fallacy walk down the hall towards me.
"Suave, there's a man downstairs whom I need you to tend to." He said.
I nodded and he walked away. I went to my room and grabbed some medical supplies, than went downstairs. When I saw the person Fallacy was talking about, I was speechless. He was pretty ripped up, with huge gashes criss-crossing his chest. I flinched and walked over to him.
"I'm going to tend to your wounds."
He nodded slightly, looking at me scared a bit.
"Are you a vampire too?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"No, I'm a mortal."
I walked over to him and started treating his wounds. He watched me warily, like he didn't trust me. I didn't blame him, after all, he was in a vampires castle. He had an extensive amount of wounds, so it took me a while to finish.
He looked at the bandages once I stood, finishing.
"Thank you..." He said.
I nodded.
"It was just Lord Fallacys orders." I responded.
"Lord Fallacy? You mean the KING of vampires?" He asked.
I nodded.
"I'm one of his servants."
He seemed surprised.
"You mean he hasn't killed you..?" He asked, a bit scared.
"No. Lord Fallacy gave me a home and food. I trust him."
He looked a bit nervous.
"Is Fallacy the only vampire that lives here..?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"No, Jasper, his son, also lives here."
He seemed to get a bit more frightened. I sighed softly.
"You should be thankful he's letting you stay. Usually he just turns people away." I said calmly.
He still seemed pretty freaked out that he was staying in a vampires castle.
"You can leave, if you want. But you can't tell anyone where this castle is." I said.
He nodded, but I knew I couldn't trust him. He was mortal, and when mortals are afraid or have seen something new, they talk about it. I looked into his eyes, and saw the true fear he felt.
"Do you have any family?" I asked.
"Yes... a wife and a daughter.." He said sadly.
"You'll see them again, don't worry." I replied softly.
He looked at me, hope in his eyes.
"Thank you..."
Encres POV
______________________________
After Fallacy had left I'd gone to the room he'd made for me to paint. I'd started painting a tree outside, and put two birds on it, doves. I was working deeply on it, concentrating. I didn't notice Celeste walk up behind me.
"Hello Encre." She said, scaring me.
I turned to her and gasped out,
"You frightened me Celeste!"
She laughed a bit.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to!" She said, not really sounding sorry.
"Its okay.." I said softly.
She smiled a bit and looked at my painting.
"That's really good! Where did you learn to paint like that?" She asked.
"My brother taught me when he was alive..." I replied sadly.
"Oh..." She said, knowing she messed up with what she said.
"Its okay, it was a long time ago..." I softly said, trying to cheer her up a bit.
She just nodded a bit.
"Anyways, you're going to the ball, right? With Fallacy?" She asked, smirking slightly.
I blushed.
"Well, he hasn't asked me..." I said softly.
Generally I hated dances, but now... I wanted Fallacy to ask me... is that bad?
Fallacy POV
______________________________
Celeste had just left. She'd brought up the idea that I ask Encre to the ball... and the thing is, I'm actually considering it. Although I didn't know if she even actually wanted to, or if she could dance.. of course, I could just ask her to go with me, but I'm so afraid she'll say no...
I sighed.
"I shouldn't be so afraid, the worst thing that could happen would be her saying no to me... right..?" I said quietly to myself.
But I didn't want her to hate me... or say no...
Dangit, emotions are complicated. I sighed softly and stood up. There's much to think about before the ball. But first..
"Fibi?" I called.
The small maid almost instantly showed up at the door.
"Yes Master Fallacy?" She asked politely.
"I need you to go to town and but something." I said.
"May I ask what that something is?"
"I need you to buy a dress, for Encre."
