As Lucy observed the fencing club's perfect cooperation she recalled how it was before Glozelle took charge of the club as Professor Grey, the Study of Ancient Runes teacher. The small club had been divide. Slytherin and Gryffindors especially didn't get along.

All that was brought to an end when Professor Grey became the instructor. He had declared, "From this day forward, as long as each of you remain in this club, whether or not we are in this building, we are not divided, separate groups, races or ideologies nor are we any type of enemies.

"No more Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs, Slytherins, or Gryffindors. No more first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh years. A divided front will never will against any opposing forces! Enough with all the classification and segregation. You are member of the fencing club. Now get along and stop with the dividing."

That hadn't been the only change. The training curriculum had  changed quiet a bit. Professor Grey would call a volunteer and demonstrate a new move and everyone would pair up to practice it. Sparing would commence with a variation of different pairs and occasional groups of three would often commence to help each and everyone improve.

That's wasn't even the end of the differences. Lots of physical exercises were implemented to strengthen and help them with durability, stamina, speed, footwork, and more. Lunging, jumping, running, swimming, and muggle biking were just a few of those exercises.

Time passed quickly, and before she knew it, Lucy and Jeffery were alone in the sparring room, cleaning up, collecting mats and such. Professor Grey was in the adjourning room with the door open, but was absorbed with the tall stack of papers he was grading to notice anything short of a loud explosion.

"Lucy," Jeffery started. "So, you know how there will be a ball soon.." He trailed off.

"The Yule Ball, yes it sounds, doesn't it?"

"Ah, yes it does, well, I was wondering if you wanted to go with me..as friends of course!" He rushed to add.

Lucy smiled, "I would love to."

Back in her dorm room, Lucy sat on her bed while Little Ellie perched on the wooden frame. The tiny dragon Gemi was free from the greatly disliked drawstring bag and happily flying around the room. With her dear companions settled, Lucy began to read the letter from Ed that Ellie had brought her earlier.

Valiant Sister,

Lu, it is good to hear that your battle will a dragon turned out favorably for you. Although I find it dangerous for you to keep it, I trust your judgement. When we return to our house I shall do my best to aid you in keeping Gemi, a fitting name from what I gather, a secret.

Peter is well enough. He has yet to return to his wayward fighting ways, and I conclude it safe to say he shall not. However, Pete and Su are not on good footing at the moment. Susan refuses to talk about Narnia with either Peter or myself. The other day, when Peter kept persisting about it Susan called Narnia a game! A child's fantasy.

I fear our sister will drift too far and be lost to us.

                                                                                                            With Love,

                                                                                                                       Your Just Brother
