"Alexandria does have a small concussion, but she should be fine after tonight." The doctor informed Josh and Katie.
"How is she right now?" Katie asked.
"She is sleeping right now but when she wakes up you can go see her."
"No, I wanna see her now!" Katie starts to cry.
"Ma'am, I understand you're worried but she is asleep right now."
"I don't care! Let me see my girlfriend!"
"Okay, okay, but you can not wake her. And if she does awake, inform a nurse right away."
"Okay."
"Follow me."
"I will be back Josh."
"Okay." Josh says with tears in his eyes.
Katie walks into Alex's room and sits down next to her bed. Katie grabs Alex's hand and lays her head on the bed with tears filling her eyes.
"I'm here, Alex. I know you can't hear me but...im so sorry this happened to you, for some reason I feel like this is somehow my fault when it's clearly not...I know you can make it through this Alex, I know it's a small concussion but it's still a concussion and you're gonna get through it like you do with everything, Alex. I love you."
"K...Katie?" Alex whispered.
Katie gasps and yells for the nurse. The nurse comes running in and starts to push Katie out of the room.
"Hey, Josh."
"Hey, why aren't you in there with Katie?"
"She woke up, nurse is in there with her right now."
"Well that's good that she's up."
Katie sits down ne,t to Josh and outs her head on his shoulder and falls asleep.
"Katie." Josh whispers.
"Katie." He says again.
"Katie, wake up. " he shrugs her awake.
"What?"
"Look."
"Hey, Katie."
"Alex, your okay!"
'Yea, but I'm tired and I wanna go home and sleep." Alex says in a kiddy voice.
Everyone laughs and starts to walk out of the hospital when Katie is stopped.
"Katie, she needs to take these pill twice a day for three weeks."
"Why, sir?"
"Well she is going to have a lot of headaches around the area she was hit so these pills will keep them from getting out of hand."
"I see, thank you."
"You're welcome, now, bring her back in one week so I can see how she's doing."
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
With that Katie, Josh and Alex all walk out of the hospital, calls Alex's mom to pick them up and waits on the sidewalk for her.
