Kiwi: Chapter Five

My first class is 10AM and I woke up at around 9AM. Much to my horror, I hurriedly took a shower and fixed myself.

Pagdating ko sa social class, I saw Kim. Whoops. Classmates kami.

"oh" I said nung tinignan niya ako pero deadma lang siya. Hindi man lamang siya nag hello? Wow, kasama mo ko magdinner last night tapos parang di mo ako kilala ngayon. Should I punch you?

It was a whole introduction time, just like highschool since new professor namin siya. He just left us take home quiz to be discussed next meeting. I was fixing my things when I saw na kami na lang pala ni Kim sa loob ng room.

"Oi!" he said then bigla niyang binagsak yung bag niya sa table ko.

"What's wrong?" I asked. Shit diba, nagulat ako syempre.

"Stay away from Nick. Walang ibang masasaktan dito kundi si Faye" we are staring at each other and yung mata niya, seryoso at nagbabanta "You understand?"

"What the fuck did I just do now?" I asked him. Dahil, hello? Clueless ako. All of a sudden pinagbabantaan mo ako ng ganito? Late na nga ako nagising tapos ganito pa?

But he didn't respond. He just walked papalabas ng room.

I hurriedly followed him pero paglabas ko, nowhere to be found na siya.

"Ano na naman ba kasing nagawa ko?" I asked myself

"Cindy!" when I looked si Nick.

"Uyy!"

"May class ka pa?"

"Kakatapos lang"

"Ay great! Let's grab something to eat. Hindi pa dismiss si Faye e"

"Ahh wala pa si Faye?"

"1 hour pa. Gutom na kasi ako e" He said

"Let's wait for Faye na lang" I smiled

"I texted her na mauuna na akong kumain, kaya let's go, treat ko"

Then naalala ko yung sinabi ni Kim na I should stay away from Nick. Teka, wow, sino ka ba to ask me something like that? PFFT!

I agreed with Nick then dumeretso na kami sa cafeteria.

This will be the first time na I'm going to eat with Nick na kami lang talagang dalawa.

"I will go buy us burgers. Wait for me okay?" Nick asked and I nodded.

I was looking at him hanggang sa makarating na siya ng burger stand. He looked at me and said na magwait daw ako with hand gestures. I just smiled. So, ganito pala ang feeling kapag you're going to eat with someone you like. Ambabaw ko ba? Medyo ang fluffy ng feeling ko right at this moment.

I was looking at him the whole time and nakikipagusap siya kay ateng nagluluto ng burger. Aba, at may pagtawa pang nalalaman. He is really snatching me right there.

BLAAAG~

When I looked, nalaglag yung plates na dala dala nung isang student sa kabilang table.

"Bakit kaba kasi hindi tumitingin sa dinadaanan mo? Are you day dreaming? Why are you so happy?" Her friend asked her

"Sorry na, I was happy na kakain na tayo eh"

"Masyado kang Masaya, ayan nasaktan ka" then nagtawanan sila.

After umalis nung dalawang students, I looked at the burger stand and wala na dun si Nick, then biglang nagflash sa scene yung sinabi nung friend ng girl.

Are you day dreaming? Why are you so happy? Masyado kang Masaya, ayan nasaktan ka

"Fudge"

"Is there a problem?" When I looked, si Nick

"Ah, nothing" I smiled

"Oh," then inabot niya yung burger and fries ko "eat them all ha?"

"I will" he then smiled

I am really happy that I forgot Faye exist. I shouldn't feel this way because I'm lowkey betraying Faye. Normal sa ibang tao na tignan kami as friends whose eating together. Pero for me, it was like a date. I cannot believe I'm thinking this as a date. I cannot believe I'm betraying Faye.
