Kiwi: Chapter Thirty Two

It was an express shopping, I have never done something like this before and I keep on laughing, like we just breathe the air at mall and now we're preparing for the party later.

"Cindy, stop laughing. It's not even funny" Jini said

"Ah, ang kill joy" I said

"Why are you laughing?" Jini asked Kim "you find Cindy funny?"

"Somehow?" then he smiled

Jini looked at me and looked at Kim and looked at me again. I looked at Faye and I can read her face, na meron ngang tension between us three.

"Ahh, let me prepare at the kitchen okay?" I smiled tapos exit na agad ako sa eksena. Medyo obvious ba na ayoko ng confrontation because we should celebrate tonight and hindi tong mga gantong tension.

"Hey!" When I looked it's Kim. WTF

"Oh, what are you doing here?" I asked him na medyo natatawa

"I wanna help you"

"Wala namang masyadong gagawin dito, I am just preparing the plates" I was about to get the plastic cups but at the same time, kukunin niya rin ata and nagcross hands namin.

"Exactly, like this" he said

"Huh?" I looked at him and then he suddenly pulled me to him "about what happened last night.." we're looking at each other.

"I said, let's not talk about that.."

"No, I wanna talk about that because we both liked.."

"Nooo" I'm letting go pero hindi niya binibitawan kamay ko

"I'm going to end everything na pumipigil sayo. Wait for me, hindi magiging madali but, can you just trust me? Wait for me this time"

"Kim, I don't wanna hurt anyone. Specially kung ganito situation. I've had enough lies around me, don't go around add stuff ~"

"Go on, I'm listening..." when we looked, si Jini, nasa may pinto, and she's teary eyes.

Kim slowly let go of my hand and we both looking at Jini.

"I am not going to get angry like a mad girlfriend here. I just wanna hear more, about what happened last night, about the things na pumipigil kay Cindy. About you waiting for him. I wanna hear it all like it's for me" this time she cried pero pinunasan niya luha niya. "let's all talk about this"

I looked at Kim and I'm crying, he wiped them pero tinanggal ko kamay niya and sinundan ko si Jini. Everyone's there sa sofa, Kim and I sat across each other. I looked at Faye and I can tell from her face, she's saying that everything will be okay.

Jini keeps on crying but at the same time, may nilabas siyang white envelope. Binigay niya kay Nick

"George and Jini? Is this a wedding invitation?" Nick exclaimed "Whaaat?" he asked Faye and she nodded, it seems like Faye know everything about this. I looked at Kim and he was also in a state of shock.

"I told Faye from day 1. Even nung nasa states pako. If you can see, it supposed to happen soon, like 2 months ago. I ran away from the wedding, it was a messy months and lately lang nasettle ng both parties yung mess, exactly the time na nagvacation sina Faye sa states"

She looked at Kim "I runaway because I know there will be someone who will gonna save me and tell me that everything will be okay. I'm glad we're still talking kahit na nagbreak na tayo. I can feel na you really want to have me back. I was happy that you will be going to the states; we can finally see each other. But, from the moment na nakita kita, I knew na something has changed. You're not the Kim that used to love and protect me" she cried "and I hated myself so much because kasalanan ko naman talaga"

I was about to say I'm sorry pero pinigilan ako ni Faye.

"And I'm really sorry Kim for hurting you, please know that I regretted it so much. But you know me, if I feel na there's something wrong sa relationship, hindi ko talaga ipupush sarili ko. I just wanna know why and who snatched you away from me" she looked at me "Uhm, I mean, I wanna know kung sino ba yung sumalo lahat ng maling nagawa ko and how she's handling everything.."

She keeps on crying but she requested na magusap kami in private. We went sa terrace nila sa labas while the rest nagstay sa kitchen.

"I will not say sorry to you, I know you know why"

"Yes"

"Hindi rin naman kita ma-blame"

I just looked at her

"I know you will feel bad pero hindi naman talaga yon ang intentions ko. I will open this up later after the party pero napush ako nung eksena sa kitchen" she laughed "I can see the Kim who used to love and protect me now, want to do that to somebody else and mas intense yung aura niya this time"

"I wanna say sorry though, I made a mistake and I hurted you because of my actions but please know, that I have also tried everything to avoid any interactions with him because I know you exist, sa puso niya"

"I'm always gonna be there, Cindy. Kahit na, it will end, I know there will be a special spot for me"

"I know" I smiled

"I will let go now. There's no sense of fighting for someone if wala na akong makitang effort from the other end. I'm not the type na i-pupush pa rin until the end. If ayaw na sa akin, I will let go"

"I really don't know what to say, I'm sorry"

"It's okay, wala ka namang ginawa e. Maybe it's destiny? Serendipity?" she laughed tapos pumasok na siya sa loob.
