Kiwi: Chapter Twenty Five

Kinuha ko na yung 2nd album and pagbukas ko pa lang, alam ko na kung kanino to. I flipped the back and I saw Kim's name. The album entitled as "I love you and let me count the ways" rushed 2017 Valentines Day project by him.

First few pages was a stolen pictures of Jini and Kim's explaining why he fell for her so bad. The next pages were her with Faye and Nick and they have group pictures too, he's explaining that Jini is blending well with his circle.

I flipped faster because I'm curious and at the same time I'm hurting too. I suddenly dropped the album on the floor and everyone looked at me.

"Oh, are you okay?" Ms Iris asked.

"Ah, yes, nadulas lang" I smiled and pinulot ko yung album tapos nilagay ko na ulit sa table.

"Okay, come on, help us here, there's so much to see" She invited me excitedly and pumunta naman ako agad sa kanila.

"Anong album yon?" Ms. Iris asked, maybe out of curiousity

"Ah,hindi ko nakita kung kanino. I'll check again later" I smiled

"C'mon.." she walked towards the album and flipped the back "Oh, kay Kim pala to e"

"Ahh, kay kim ba? Ehehehhe" I said tapos tumalikod na ako para magayos ng gamit

"Who's Kim?" Sid asked

"Graduating student na friend ni Cindy"

"Ooooh. Lemme see" kinuha ni Sid yung album "ohhh, ang pretty nung girl. Girlfriend niya?"

"Yes, kaso nagbreak na sila e" Ms. Iris "Well, that was the rumor but I don't really know the truth"

"Eh, Cindy, what's the truth ba?" Sid asked

"Hmm same with Ms. Iris lang talaga alam ko. I know break na sila. We don't usually talk e. We're not really close" I smiled

"I see" Sid said

"Oh siya, enough of this" Erika said "let's just move the albums sa table na to and bahala na students to get them. Sila rin naman magaayos nitong red room e"

"Okay"

Around 4PM, Ms. Iris invited me to eat dinner with her sa dorm. She cooked Adobo and she even bought beers.

"Do you drink?" she handed me the beer

"Yes, but this would be the first time I'm trying beer" then I grabbed it from her.

"Why?"

"I don't really like the smell"

"Well, sa una lang naman yon but if you don't wanna, no pressure okay?"

"Okay but maybe I'll drink a bottle or two"

"Okay, whatever makes you sleep at night"

I smiled

I asked her about Sid and their relationship. Syempre, napasintabi muna ako kasi baka medyo hindi siya comfortable to make kwento diba.

She said that they're blockmates na hindi naguusap then all of a sudden close na sila. Hindi nga na rin niya naalala kung paano sila nagusap or kung anong unang napagusapan nila. One morning nagising na lang daw siya and said na she misses him. Lakas makakoreanobela no?

"But why are we talking about me and Sid?"

"Well, I was just curious because, pinagmasdan ko kayo kanina and medyo nanghihinayang ako"

"Ikaw talaga nanghinayang?" She laughed then nagbeer siya.

Nagbeer na rin ako this time. Yoko talaga ng lasa but nakakahiya naman kay Ms. Iris kaya tiis ko na lang. Maybe I'll be used to it kapag mayat maya ako uminom.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked

"Oh, ano yon?"

"Anong meron sa barkadahan niyo?"

"Ugh? Paanong anong meron? Please elaborate"

"Kasi medyo may mali sa sinabi mo kanina na hindi kayo close ni Kim, kahit lagi ko kayong nakikita together?"

"Maybe because he's Faye's brother?"

"Eh how about Nick? I saw you two last week sa court nung nagtapon ako ng basura. Damn that was around 2AM?"

"Ahh, we had coffee lang bago siya nagpunta province"

"I see"

"Yes" I smiled

"Eh ikaw? Who do you like?"

"No one"

"I'm not yet finish"

I just looked at her and uminom ng beer

"Do you like Nick or Kim?"

"Whaaat?!" I laughed "Ms. Iris kung trip mo ko let's just drink"

"Sorry" Ms. Iris laughed "lagi kasing may tension sa inyong tatlo"

"kahit wala naman?"

"Wag ako Cindy, andyan lang ako lagi sa may reception looking at you guys everytime nasa lobby kayo"

"Aaaahhhh" I laughed tapos nagbeer ulit ako. Shit. Kinakabahan ako sa mga pwersa netong babaeng to e.

"Do you like Kim no?" binuksan niya ulit isang bottle "but syempre, you don't know what to do because that guy is still in love with Jini"

"Ms. Iris yung totoo? Nageeavesdrop ka no?"

"Tagal ko na dito sa dorm Cindy, alam ko na lahat stories ng mga students dito, kahit yung mga nakagraduate na"

"Wait, can I ask you question too?"

"About?"

"Bat nandito ka sa dorm? Why don't you pursue your course?"

"We own this place and yung course ko, hobby lang talaga"

"But I can feel that you really want to pursue it"

"Maybe in the future Cindy. I'm not closing doors"

"I see" then uminom ulit ako ng beer from my second bottle.

"So back to my question, do you like Kim?"

"Noooo" I said then smiled

"Okay" she sighed "I just want to let you know na, there's no harm in trying, sayang naman kasi maybe he likes you also. Sayang spark"

"Wala ngang spark e" tapos nagtawanan kami then bigla akong inubo.

"oh, are you okay?"

"wait" I keep on coughing then suddenly sumakit dibdib ko "awww"

"Cindy, what's happening?" tumayo si Ms. Iris then nilapitan ako

"Wait, I, I can't breathe"

"Wait you're red and, wait, are you allergic sa beer?"

I just looked at her and the last thing I hear and saw was Ms. Iris shouting and asking for help.
