~Chapter Eight - Can I Be Saved?~
Shadow's POV
I wake up and look at my surroundings. A deep red and purple surround me, a dark blue bubble around the rusted bars. I'm in another cell, yay me. I go to see if he, rather IT, took my stuff, so I reach for my cloak pocket only to realize my cloaks gone. "-And it took that too..." I groan in anger. How could I have let myself get caught so easily?! I'm in the FeralAsh Isles realm. I hate this place because last I was here I went through too much pain get out. No body knows I'm here, no body cares that I'm here, only It and its lord knows, not to mention it's minions. "Welcome back, Shadow." Lord Synth greets darkly. "Why have you brought me here?" I get to the point almost immediately. He only chuckles, the walls echoing out into the rest of the castle. "My, I've only brought you here to get your power. I am going to have to keep you here for a while though, to get you used to your surroundings and to put pain and fear in you soul. It's more fun when you have victims of fear and pain." He replies, chuckling slightly after. "And how long is awhile?" I question. He stops his endless reign of chuckling. "Im not sure, it all depends on how long it takes for fear to enter your soul." He states, pulling a sword of a weapon rack. I hide my emotions well, he won't know im in fear or pain until I physically show it. It walks it. "Is my daughter awake?" Dakota asks, somewhat adding a tint of sing-song into his words. "I don't know, am I?" I reply sassily. The Lord and my father scowl then leave me to my thoughts.
"Can I be saved...?"
Sylvie's POV
"Hey boys, have any of you seen Shadow?" I ask my guards. Aaren shakes his head, "Not after yesterday, no." Travis slams his fist into the stone table before him. "Don't break my table, Travis," Margaret says, calmly. "I won't." He replies angerly. Scott and Loyd look at each other and shrug. "What did she do last?" Loyd asks, looking at anyone for an answer. "I last saw her on the docks somewhere around midnight." I chime in. "Anything else to add?" Scott almost begs me to continue with those words. "Well..." I start to explain.
~Flash Back~
I was leaving the guard tower near the ocean, watching the beautiful night sky. I saw Shadow sitting on the docks, so I got ready to make my way over to her. I heard a spine-chilling voice. "The lone wolf sits alone on the docks, watching the sky, itching for someone to... I don't know... CAPTURE HER!"She and the ghostly figure behind her disappeared in a cloud of purple. I quickly ran over to where she sat last. An amulet sits in her place.
~Flash Back END~
"...And that's what happened from my perspective." I wrap up my explanation. Loyd grunts, as does Scott. "Anyone have any idea where she could be?" Aaren asks us all. "No idea, but you said the voice sounded like her father?" I nod. Scott ponders for about 5 seconds. "We don't have a lot of leads at the moment. We need more information on where she could've gone." We all look at Travis. "What? Is there something on my face?" Aaren smacks his face with the palm of his hand. "No, You have a demon form, correct?" He nods. "You can track other forms of your kind, correct?" He nods again. "We might have a lead, my friends." Loyd smiles. Travis crosses his arms over his chest, an annoyed expression on his face. I walk past him to the door and whisper to him so only he can hear. "It's for Shadow, Travis~" His face becomes beat red and he quickly jogs past me.
Xander's POV
The other just explained whats happened and Gabriel, Victor and I have no clue where she could be. This has never happened before. Possessions, yes but never 'kidnappings.' Victors growled angrily and slammed his fist into the tree to his right, bringing a few leaves fluttering from it. "Keep calm, we have a lead," Loyd says nonchalantly, stepping to the left to reveal Travis. "Um... How can he be the lead?" Gabe questions. "Im also part demon because of my own father and I can track people like me." He states. Victor is still in a fit of rage, growling and mumbling stuff that is inaudible. "Well? What are we waiting for? LET'S GO!" Gabe shouts. We all nod.
