Do you remember when
We were just friends
But it grew into something more;
A paramour
But then you grew cold
Said that I wasn't enough
And that you needed someone's touch
But I couldn't warm you up
Now I'm just someone you once knew
Somebody that you went to
But you left me all alone
Because I had overgrown
Now I'm somebody that you used to know
Do you remember those winter days
You made me step away
You told me I was safe and that I was okay
Do you remember how
You confirmed all my doubts
Said you never loved me any day
Now I'm just someone you once knew
Somebody that you went to
Someone that you left bruised
And I became worse
Because of your words
You told me you could never really be
In love with me
Now I'm someone you once knew
Someone that you always ran to
I'm somebody you once knew
I should've known that we were doomed
