Safety In Her Silence by CreativeDelinquents
Genre: ChickLit

Summary (by the way, all summaries are taken directly from the book):

Mason Valor was a boy of few words, who was haunted by more secrets than he could hold. With a past riddled with pain and heart broken beyond repair, he finds himself standing on the edge of his apartment building, content with giving up.

When Raven Taylor, a petite girl of even fewer words and overwhelmingly dangerous secrets, stumbles upon a lost and broken Mason on the edge of her new apartment building, and she takes it upon herself to become his light and slowly coax him to safety.

Through it all, one thing slowly becomes clear. In Raven's silence, a silence that spoke in such volumes that no words ever could, Mason oddly begins to find a sense of safety he's never felt before.

With secrets that silently tear each of them apart, will Raven have it in her to save Mason, or will history repeat itself and leave Raven more broken than ever?

Cover (5/5) - The cover design is amazing, and I love the font. I also really love the picture.

Plot (9/10) - It was a little confusing in the beginning of the prologue and the beginning of chapter 1, but eventually I kind of figured out what he was talking out. He talked a lot about stars, and I'm guessing he meant that the stars were his loved ones (whoever they were) that died. Other than that, the plot so far is pretty good. It seemed like the prologue happened after chapter 1, but maybe I'm wrong.

Originality (7/10) - the suicidal main character is a little bit cliche, as is the one person who saves the suicidal character. But I like the whole stars thing - I've never seen that before in a story.

Format (5/5) - The paragraphs aren't too long or two short, and they make sense.

Spelling/Punctuation (5/5)

Grammar (5/5)

Despite the cliches and the confusion, I'd personally rate this book a 10/10. It hooked me from the very beginning. I expected for it to be just another cliche story like, "This thing happened to me, so I'm going to kill myself." But the author wrote the story, you could truly feel Mason's pain. It's short so far, but I can't wait to read more.

CreativeDelinquents, sorry for the delay on the review. I've been at school all day and none of my teachers allow phones, so I've just been doing this in between classes. Anyways, I hope you like the review! (:
