Justin
What in the world would I do without Melody?
I have no girl buds, except for her. Who would I go crying to?
I lay back on my pillows, arms behind my head, she looks awkward at the edge. I move my arm, to pat my chest. She flushes a red color, and scoots closer to me.
"So, spill. I want to know everything." She says, and I smile.
Why does she have to be so cute?
"Farah to me, is like the only girl I've really liked. I mean it's crazy, how in the hell can I be, like, in love with a girl who barely knows my name, but I am. She's kind, beautiful, and I can't help but to stare." I sigh, and rake my hand through my hair.
Melody keeps my gaze held, and weakly smiles, but that glorious smile doesn't reach her pretty eyes. "I mean, second grade. How pathetic. I know, but-" She cuts me off, a hand on top of mine, and my stomach knots.
"I think that's really cute, Justin. Not pathetic." She finally lays her head on my chest, and I find myself playing with her soft hair.
"Thanks," I say, just above a whisper, and she looks into my eyes, she's looking really pretty, a cute little floral skirt, and a white tank top.
"Welcome," She looks just as lost in my eyes, as I am in hers.
I start to lean in, and before I know it, her eyes are fluttering closed. I begin to close my eyes, and I cup her face, tilting my head so I could reach her better.
And as my eyes close, I realize, how gorgeous Melody is. I imagine her figure, it's full, and she has nice hips. Her lips are plump, and pink, while her button nose seems to be the cutest thing.
Just as I'm about to kiss her, she speaks. "Earth to Justin!"
And I notice, I'd been day dreaming.
Shit shit shit.
"Continue." She smiles, and looks up through her lashes.
"Where was I?" I ask, ad she giggles. Melodies to my ears.
Pun intended. Oh I'm good.
"Where you said it was pathetic," She waves me off, and I find myself glancing often to her lips. "Oh, well. Yeah . . I've liked her for so long, and just when I finally think I'll be able to tell her. Tell her how much I adore her. How much I want her . ." I say, and she squeezes my torso.
"I remember when she came into the class. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, and a cute blue bow was on top, hello kitty backpack . ." I say, and chuckle. "I remember all the boys were gawking at her, the new girl." I recall, and Melody giggles.
"I can imagine. I've seen baby pictures." Mel says, and I smile down at her.
"Yeah. Then yesterday night . . She was there. With some dude. I mean, with Kyle, I knew that would end. But she looked . . She looked like she was in love with this guy." I panic, and Melody hugs me tighter.
I could get used to this.
"You can always show her your muscles. She would be all over that!" Mel says, and I laugh.
Since I've known Mel, she'd always been able to make me smile.
Mel's eyes flutter close, but not to kiss me. "You can sleep. It's still early." I say, and she nods, snuggling her head into me.
She looked so freaking adorable.
I fight to kiss her all over, and then curse myself out.
Think about Farah.
Think about Farah
Think about Farah
Think about Farah.
Her lips part, and I smile.
Give up, bro. You like the girl.
And I don't push my thoughts away. Because it's half true.
I'm starting to like Melody Cruz.
