There was a pile of books beside you, your surroundings quiet and the sunlight soft on the pages. The area was surrounded by shelves of books, not wanting to be disturbed. That ended as you heard chatter coming from the entrance, you placed the book down beside the pile and listened to the footsteps - signifying where the group was headed.

"Sorry (Y/N)! I forgot to inform you that there were guests arriving." the voice was familiar.

You only sighed and stared at the different choice of clothes. Instead of the usual princely attire, it was replaced with a t-shirt and jeans. Your questioning glances seemed to reach him as he continued talking. "I didn't want them to know who I am. Are you okay? Having guests around..."

Shaking your head slightly, you reached for the book beside you and placed your focus on the words. The background provided loud chatter, as the royal guards introduced the library. Noctis sat opposite you - he pulled a chair directly in front of you. The chattering was slowly getting louder, signifying that they were getting closer. Putting your book down, you tried to wait for them to move away. Only to pull out your earphones, ready to block off any other noise. The action was stopped as Noctis pushed both hands away, looming over your figure. Your face flushed a bright red, as he slowly closed the gap. His lips brushed against yours, in a chaste action. You wrapped your hands around his neck, a habitual action. Engulfed in his heat, you reached for him - getting stopped by a cough resonating around the room.

"Gladio, what gives?" Noctis casually stated.

In response, Gladiolus shaked his head, a clue for you. Hesitantly removing your hands, you stood up and waved goodbye to the two. "(Y/N)! I'm not done yet!"

Your face instantly flushed another shade darker as you quicken your steps. Noctis, never failing to let a blush spread on your cheeks.

Extra

"Noctis...Did you really need to kiss her in a library?" Gladiolus asked, after watching you leave.

A slight sigh was heard, "Yes. That is why I did it. No one was watching anyway."

Finding that it was a lost cause, Gladiolus shaked his head, knowing that his friend loved teasing. "I hope (Y/N) can overcome him..."
