You watched as you saw different maids or butlers pass by. Each of them having something in common, the different animal ears and tails as part of their body. You brought your hand up, feeling your own cat ears. Similarly, your tail was swishing behind you, hidden in the dark. Rather than torn, your clothes was covered with dirt. You have been diligently trying to brush it off but it remained, reminding you of the fact that you were abandoned in an alleyway. You held no feelings of revenge, knowing the struggle that your last owner suffered. He had provided food to the point, he collapsed. His eyes full of sadness and regret that was still fresh in your mind. Feeling drops of water on your cheek, you noticed the numerous other drops. Sinking further in, you quickly took this as a chance to clean the dirty spots on your clothes.

"None of them catched my interest. Dogs were popular but it did not click with me." you heard a sudden voice heading towards you. "And now it's raining. Such luck."

You leaned against the wall, listening to the blonde's reply. "If you weren't so picky, we would have reached home an hour ago!"

"None of them clicked with me! I don't want to force myself to take care of something that won't click with me!"

The argument continued, leaving the muscular one and glasses wearing to sigh. Their attention was focused on the sky instead of the two bickering in front of them. You stifled a laugh as you watched at how calm the two of them was. "Wait a minute, I have a feeling someone is staring at me..."

"Isn't it just your imagination? There's no one here other than us..."

You straightened yourself, noticing their conversation being directed to you. Your tail straight, hiding behind your body. As your ears tried to remain straight. The raven haired eyes glittered as he exclaimed. "Someone is there!"

You let out a yelp in surprise as your arm was pulled towards him. He scanned you thoroughly, with the others watching him curiously. "I have decided! You shall be the one I choose! Alright. Let's go back home."

Everything happened in your confusion, as you followed the raven haired home. He provided a slight tour for you, letting you know the different environment that you currently live in.

A month passed, your skills improving vastly over the month. Also including the times that Prompto would sneak you out to train with you. Your cat reflexes made it easier for you. The whole week, Noctis was nowhere to be seen. This caused you to feel slightly disappointed as you tried to reason with yourself. Even if you did see Noctis, he would be rushing elsewhere, leaving no time to indulge in mindless chit chat or teasing. The other members feeling slight pity for you as they disguised you as a Royal Guard. You followed them to visit Noctis, only to see him busily settling his different events. You fidgeted - getting a feeling that you were not supposed to be there- Your eyes immediately focusing on the figure you knew best.

"Noctis?" your voice was a tone higher than usual as he socialised.

By his side, was his said fiancée as you watched. Different emotions flowing through you as you kept a strict face that resembled Gladiolus. After a few moments of staring, you excused yourself from the room and made your way to the garden. Eyes focused on the night sky, glittered with white dots. Your cat ears twitched as you heard footsteps making their way towards you. Instantly jumping to a nearby tree, your tail swished behind you cautiously as you watched his every action.

"(Y/N), come down. There's no need to be wary." his voice was soft, lowering your guard.

You stood a few steps in front of him, unsure of how to face him. "How was the party?"

"Normal."

Nodding, silence filled the gap between the both of you. "Why did you disguise yourself to come to the party?"

Noctis moved closer, an arm's reach to you. He raised his arm, wrapping it around your ears. A slight gasp escaped your mouth as he teased the sensitive ear. "I wanted to know where you went every time!"

He removed his hand, a blush coating his cheeks as you catch your breath. From the sensitivity, your face was the same shade as his. "Understand?"

Noctis took a deep breath before pulling you into his arms. "Everything is ready now."

You looked up from his arms, only to see a smile on his face.

"You can be with me now."

Your mouth was open from shock as he rubbed your ears once again. "Enough with that!"

"Sorry, you're just too cute." he had an apologetic tone but his hands remained there.

You pouted slightly as he pulled his hand away. His lips landing on your cheek. A soft sensation felt as he rubbed your head. "Who knew I would be attracted to a half-cat."

A smile formed on your face as you returned his same action to him. "Hehehe..."

He pulled his arm, leading you back to the rest. The other party members had a smirk on their faces, knowing the event that occurred in the garden despite not being there.

"Finally!" Prompto shouted, teasing you as you blushed furiously.

They continued teasing each other, the familiar action as you watched from the side, smiling at the view. "I love you, Noctis."

He turned towards you, hearing your muffled voice. "Love you too."

His hand rubbing your ears yet again. You forgived him this time, nuzzling your head towards his hand. As the others watched with a satisfied smirk on their faces. Both you and Noctis focused on the moment instead of them. As you smiled in his direction, knowing the start was slightly different than your expectations. Meeting in alleyways might give you a new lifestyle, was the phrase that mostly remained with you as you spent time with Noctis.
