Chapter Two

~*~*~

Annabelle was sitting cross legged in front of a fire, when Jordan manifested next to her. She squeaked as she pushed herself away from him. He laughed, and that annoyed her. She scowled and got to her feet. She notice that he looked so much like Luc that he could have been his twin. He had the same blue eyes, black hair and muscular frame. If anything, the only different she could see would have been that his shoulders were a little wider and he was a little taller. So all-in-all, there were not a lot of differences.

'Did I scare the murderer?' he smirked. Anna felt her stomach do a little somersault, and her knees turn to jelly. He was undisputedly the best looking guy she had ever seen. But the smirk he was wear was deadly, she thought he could have killed a girl by giving her that look, just because he had caused her heart to skip one too many beats.

'No,' Anna pouted, crossing her arms over her chest, 'you made me jump. There's a difference.' Sean, the blond, and Dante the dark haired boy both laughed with Jordan. She glared as she stormed over to them. Annabelle imagined them both in pain, and lots of it. She hated being laughed at.

Out of the blue, Dante yelped, and then fell to the floor. Anna looked confused and went to move over to see if he was alright, only to have two hands grip around her shoulders picking her up and placing her behind them. She glared at the man's leather clad back.

Jordan.

Anna growled. The 'R' rolled along her tongue. Luc looked at her over his shoulder as he crouched down beside his brother.

'Get out,' he said. Anna folded her arms over her chest, Luc straightened out and walked towards her his eyes were like ice. She felt as if they stabbed her then looked through the hole; she shifted her weight on each foot.

Luc stopped he looked bigger now, and terrifying. He looked down at Anna as if she were an ant. And he was the kid with the magnified glass. That's how it felt anyway. Never the less, killing her father well, that had freed her. She wasn't going to be told what to do anymore.

'I said get out,' he growled. Something flashed across his eyes, like he was visualising how he was going to hurt her if she didn't get out. 'Didn't you hear me?'

Anna pouted, and put her weight on one leg 'I heard you,' she shrugged 'I just don't see why I should leave.'

'You did this!' Luc roared. He hit her cheek with the back of his hand, enough to make her stumble. He hit me, she thought. He actually hit me. The blow was enough to rattle her caged memories, and let them out. Luc's face contorted until it was her father standing there. His greasy hand reached out and touched her stinging cheek.

'I'm so sorry,' Luc whispered. Anna flinched as he rubbed her cheek, though pain and disgust. She didn't see the handsome Luc there, and it was enough to turn her stomach. 'I didn't mean to hit you, I just . . . I'm sorry' Anna was so repulsed, she looked away. She had just let another man hit her. One she liked too.

She snapped again. Her head spun back until her eyes locked on his. Her gaze was cold and unforgiving when she still saw Luc as her father. 'Sorry isn't always good enough' she said. Her eyes narrowed on Luc. Everything about him screamed "be terrified" now, all she saw when she looked at him. Was a man wearing the expression of "I'm terrified?" He was pale, and his shoulders hand rounded making him look hunched over.
