"YOU KILLED HER!" ANNA RUBBED HER HEAD, VERY AWARE OF THE SHOUTING outside the room. It was making her head hurt. She couldn't remember what had happened, from the point of leaving the bathroom - Anna scowled and looked down - In Damon's clothes. "I can't believe you killed her! With belladonna berries-"
"They were strawberries actually," Anna sat up, only to fall back to the bed again.
"I can't move my legs," she mumbled.
"I don't care if they were bananas! Just because you glamoured them to strawberries, doesn't make them strawberries, Damon!"
Anna shot up and this time, she didn't fall back. She clenched her teeth, and growled. "Look, Vaughn, it was an experiment. She should have died in the forest, and she shouldn't have killed that fey, because it was impossible."
"Your experiment failed,' Anna heard foot steps from the other side on the room. She pushed herself over until she was on all fours, crawling across the bed. 'And you killed her. I am going to love watching the Fallen kill you. You're immortal, Damon, and I still think he'll find a way to kill you."
The handle on the door pushed down, Anna lowered her head, readying her body to pounce. The door swung open as Vaughn walked in. Anna noticed he had blond hair that was almost gold and eyes that were the colour of . . . maple syrup.
Her fangs snapped down, claws stretched out . . . and she jumped. Anna sprung from the bed like a cat, her eyes in narrow slits. Her wings tore through her back as she neared him. Her outstretched hands were the first part of her body to hit Vaughn. She grasped his shoulders in her fingers, and rode his body to the ground.
"I'm being attacked by a ghost! I'm being attacked by a ghost!" he yelled. Anna straddled his body, as she ran her tongue along his neck. He tasted sweet.
"It's not a ghost, moron," Damon said before grabbing Anna's wings and pulled her off on him. She snarled at him then lunged. But Damon was far too good. Her caught both her arms and wrapped them around herself as her spun her body into his. Her wings fluttered as he pulled her back against his chest, crossing his arms over her chest. "Calm down, Anna," he whispered.
Vaughn staggered to his feet, frowning as he walked closer to Anna. She was fighting Damon's hold on her, but he wasn't letting go. She growled and stomped her foot on the floor. The mirror above the bed rattled, but didn't fall.
"Why should she calm down, Damon? You killed her. I'd expect her to be a little mad," Vaughn's brow creased some more. "Speaking of which, how are you not dead?"
"I already told you, V, it was an experiment. The girl just doesn't die," Damon sighed, "its interesting though isn't it?"
"Let me go," Anna growled.
