Harleen held her clipboard to her chest tightly as she made her way through the asylum halls. Her mind was going wild with thoughts about a certain green-haired clown.

Their sessions had been going so well, and he was making so much progress that he was granted permission to eat in the cafeteria with the rest of the inmates. Finally, she had made a breakthrough. Or at least was starting to...

She decided to visit Mister J in lunch and see how things were going, and maybe have a normal conversation that WASN'T about his sanity. If she was being honest, he seemed just as normal as anyone else in this world.

"You're a brave one Ms Quinzel." The guard standing at the cafeteria doors said, giving her a skeptical look. "If anything goes wrong, you press this button and we'll get you out of there as fast as we can." He said as he handed her a small device with a little red button on it. Harleen gave him a reassuring smile and took a deep breath as he escorted her in.

Her heart skipped a beat when the cafeteria doors swung open and she caught sight of Joker sitting at a table having a friendly conversation with two other inmates. He seemed to be enjoying himself which was a first. If there was one thing she learned about him through their sessions, it's that he hates people.

She wasn't sure if she should say hi or just leave them be and observe from the corner of the room.

Observe, more like creepily stare at him like a lovestruck teenage girl.

But that option was thrown out the window when one of the inmates glanced her way and looked back at Joker with a sly smirk on his face. J turned immediately and flashed her a wide smile as he hopped out of his seat.

"There's my girl!" He said, opening his arms as if waiting for a hug. Harleen simply smiled and clicked her pen nervously.

"How's it going in here? I see that you've made some friends." She said, nodding her head over to the guys Joker was sitting with.

"I'm sure you know Harvey and Eddie. Us guys go way back, y'know." J let out a laugh as he sat down at another table beside Harleen. "Have a seat, angel."

As Harleen sat down, Joker looked up at the guard looming over his psychiatrist. Keyword: His.

"Don't worry, Benny. I mean no harm to your girlfriend." He teased, earning him just the reaction he was looking for.

"Shut it, clown!" The guard snapped. Harleen quickly intervened and waved her "bodyguard" off.

"I can take it from here. Have a nice day."

"But Miss Quin-"

"Have a nice day, sir."

Without another word, the guard finally left them alone. All eyes were on the only doctor in the room but she could care less.

"Boy, aren't you two quite the little lovebirds. First name basis and everything! Is 'sir' your favorite pet name?" J said with a wicked smile.

"Pfft! I barely know the guy. Wouldn't want to either." Harleen sighed as she tossed her clipboard down next to her. Joker eyed her carefully as she folded her hands in front of him.

"Correct me if I'm wrong doll, but isn't our next session some time next week?"

"Oh I'm not here to ask you any questions, I just came to see how things were going." The psychiatrist smiled sweetly. "It's not like we get anything done during those sessions anyway.."
