Equal sign because happiness/broken hearts or whatever-
Mid Across Time and Space (which you can read in WarriorzLove 's Paint Religion book) and its basically Rodrick trying to be someone he isnt and dealing with a bad breakup
Yay
:,)

If anything Rodrick Heffley never expected his once carefree life to become so hard. Never. Last thing he could recall was getting a job, seeing his family, being in a romantic relationship with the former love of his life..
Things had been looking up for him for once. Finally something had turned the tables! For once Rodrick had been in favor!
Until a certain blast from Mulder's past slithered her way back into the agent's life, even his life.Usually this wouldn't hurt him so much. However as Rodrick sat in his office chair, idly rolling around on the wheels it held, he felt torn. Breakups or his lovers choosing their exes over him never bothered him. As sad as it is to admit, in all his relationships he never tried one-hundred percent. There wasn't a point. He could easily predict the ending of any one of his semi-serious relationships.
But oh, of course the one relationship he held on a pedestal, would bite him in the ass.
The former drummer sighed, hating the bitter feelings that stirred within his usually hollow chest. I don't care. Rodrick thought, he tried his hardest to believe he didn't.
After all, he felt better not having to be stressed out over Mulder's affection all the time. Actually, he almost shivered in disgust at how desperate he was. Always worrying that he wasn't good enough, or that he did something wrong. Being driven crazy by petty, sickening jealousy because he couldn't even fathom the idea of someone else taking his place.
But it happened. And it was over with. He hadn't seen Mulder since and would love to keep it that way.
Trying to not feel the tight squeeze in his chest, Rodrick shivered and packed up what he needed before heading out.

"Okay, okay, I got this!"
Maybe muttering to himself outside of an expensive barber shop wasn't considered sane. Though Rodrick couldn't help but feel nervous. His mother had always cut his wild hair. And he always got just a trim anyways.
Until today.
Due to having a bunch of money and barely eating, not because he didn't want to of course; he would just forget..He had enough to get a cool hair style that looked more...adult like. The hairstyle was something he never would've wanted before. Now? Jenny suggested it to him in an email. Saying it was adorable and would be the perfect cut.
God he hoped she was right.
Strutting in, the tan, lanky male glanced around at the very few males in there. Getting their own haircuts. The sound of buzzes and snips flew and crashed into his eardrums as Rodrick waited patiently. Playing with his rough hands as he nervously glanced around.
Girly as it may be, his hair was something he was sensitive about. After all he always had the same style. Semi long, wild, and spiky near some edges. Everyone knew him for his eyeliner and hair really, back in highschool anyways.
