"I'm in his favorite sun dress, watching me get undressed, take my body downtown,"

A regular night time bar bursted with life, with drunk saps and a bunch of underaged teens shinning their fake IDs like they were badges. The lights were dim, focusing on different things or nothing at all. Everyone was happy or depressed, but the one thing everyone shared was their love of drinking and partying like there simply wasn't a tomorrow.

If everyone was drunk enough, if everyone danced enough, maybe the sun just wouldn't shine tomorrow.

"I say you the bestest, lean in for a big kiss, put his favorite perfume on,"

Teens were having full blown makeouts, adults that were of age paid no mind to them, they were catching up with friends. Drinking and laughing filled the small bar that held a special place in some people's hearts.

"Go play a video game."

In fact, on the stand where a band should be; where his band should be, while drunk and as high as a kite was actually fun. Rodrick Heffley felt great, just fine and great. Singing some sappy fucking love song, in front of thousands of people that seemed to enjoy his voice.

It's been almost what? Three weeks since Mulder socked him in the face and they fought? Actually, he didn't know. He was so drunk it was hard to stand. It was hard to remember. Remember that he lost what he had claimed to be the love his life, to remember his sucky job, and to remember that his stupid ex came back into his life.

Up here, singing while drunk, made him feel better. The song he was singing was Video Games, a love song he enjoyed a lot. She just had a nice voice.

"It's you, it's you,
it's all for you,
Everything I do,"

Rodrick couldn't feel connected to this song. After all, while the lyrics slipped off his tongue in a loud but soft spoken tone, he realized he never had someone he would do everything for. He never did, no.

"I tell you all the time, Heaven is a place on Earth with you. Tell me all the things you wanna do,"

His rather dull brown eyes sparkled as his lips pulled into a grin, holding the microphone tighter as he started to walk around the stage. Glancing at the people dancing in front of him.
This whole night was going to be about pleasing himself.

"I heard that you like the bad girls, hoooney~ Is that true?"

He passed by a spotlight and glanced at it, almost flinching at the reflection it somewhat pooled. The former drummer could still see the bruises painting the side of his face, but it was super faded. The spilt skin was healing too.

"It's better than I ever even knew," That was his favorite part, because it was just a nice part. So he even spun around singing that part.
"They say that the world was built for two~"

Hearing chatter in the bar and people praising him was nice. Due to being so wrapped up, he hasn't been to a bar since what seemed like forever. Now Rodrick Heffley was completely wasted and singing his heart out.

And it was fun.

"Only worth living if somebody; is loving you....
Baby now you do.."

Oh God, how he missed being involved with music. It was his favorite thing. Or was his favorite thing.

"Singing in the old bars, swing with the old stars, living for the fame,"

Maybe if he tried, tried hard enough, he would find happiness again? That would be nice. Rodrick wanted to feel happy for once..not tired, not upset, not empty, but happy.

"Kissing in the blue dark, playing pool and wild cards, video games!"

The black-haired male caught sight of the pool table, it was just barley visible in the corner of his eyes. People were playing it, laughing and probably betting. This bar sadly didn't have a poker table; or else Rodrick would be over there. Not up on stage.

"He holds me in his big arms! Drunk and I am seeing stars! This is all I think of..." His voice grew softer, "Watching all our friends fall, in and out of Old Paul's, this is my idea of fun...."

"Go play a video game..."

This part had grown louder, more emotional, so Rodrick tried to sound just like that. He wanted to get really lost in the music.

"Its you, its you, its all for you...Everything I do! Tell you all the time, Heaven is a place on Earth with you, tell me all the things you wanna do.."

Feeling a little dizzy, and making a quick note to himself to not spin around when drunk, Rodrick sat down on the edge of the stage with a charming smirk.

"I heard that you like the bad girls honey, is that true?"

Rodrick glanced at the sea of people with dying curiosity. He wondered, if he wanted, who would be the oh so lucky man or women that would take him home tonight? Oh...that sounded really fucking sappy. Whoops.

"It's better than I ever even knew! They say that the world was built for two..Only worth living if somebody; is loving you...Baby now you do.."

Now you do.

Now you do..

Now you do..

The last words ringed in his head as he jumped off the stage and landed on the ground. Looking around with a small smile as he handed the microphone to some other drunk soul before blending right back into the crowd.
