There were many new arrivals during the following week. Partly because the shadowhunters had travelled from all over the world to get to Idris. Normally the students would take clave approved portals from wherever they where directly to the academy. However this year they had pronounced that it was to dangerous too have numerous portals open all around the world. Now the only portal you could take was the one from the institute in Switzerland given that it was the closest country to Idris. Clary and all the students who had arrived on the first day all felt a sense of superiority to all the new arrivals. It was nice to see them mouths agape at the academy, while the 'more experienced' students walked by. Of course it was only really the new mundanes that felt the sense of wonderment. The shadowhunters simply strolled by slotting in as though they had been there their whole lives. Apparently there would only be one more arrival before the portal was closed. Clary had been dragged along by Izzy who had been dragged along by Alibe Penhallow (her friend) to greet the new arrival. Jace and Alec where there as well as Simon. Judging by the way he was staring at Isabelle it seemed he had not been disheartened by his failed attempt to woo her at lunch. Clary watched as a good looking boy with black long fronds stepped out of the blue skirling mass that was the portal. He looked pallid in contrast to the rich black that covered his head, though his features weren't diminished less by that fact. With his almond eyes and a small nose he almost reminded clary of someone though she couldn't remember who. "Hello" he said with a nice expression on his face. He was smiling as he reached to hug Aline and Izzy. He did a weird bro hand pump with Jace and Alec then hugged her even though she'd never met him before. She shrugged it if he was probably the hugging type she assumed. He seemed like the nice carefree type. "I'm Sebastian Verlac" he said smiling down at her. "So" Izzy started "anything interesting happen to you, face any demons lately". "Well not really". After a 10 min conversation in which he kept trying to talk to clary and ignore Simon he turned to ask Aline "so where's my aunt" "He seems nice" Izzy stated summing up the thoughts that were running through clary' head though Izzy probably meant it in a less positive way. Clary translated it into he looks boring and smiled at Izzy who looked almost disappointed. "Yeah he does" Jace said but his eyes were narrowed on the disappearing figure. "What's up" Alec said nudging Jace. "Nothing he's just too nice" Jace replied "I mean everyone has a flaw except me of course"
