Hello, beautiful people! I hot this idea while talking to Sierra, A.K.A. piercethemayfire! This is pretty long, and it's Austin/Oli. Weird ship, I know, but I like it. Anyway, please enjoy this because I'm pretty sure I wrote all of this today and it took a long time!

When Oliver Sykes woke up on the fifteenth of June, twenty-fourteen, he knew that it would be different. Each day over the past year, the days had been the same: the same mornings, the same work schedule, the same lonely nights. Today though, all that would change.

He had called into work a few days ago, informing his boss that he would not be coming in for work on this very day. When his boss asked for a reason, he had felt a smile come to his face and simply stated that there were family matters he needed to take care of.

It wasn't a lie, per se, but he had definitely left out the whole truth. It was not his family he would be dealing with on this beautiful day, it would be his boyfriend. His tall, handsome, caring, intelligent, funny, and dorky boyfriend. His boyfriend was even taller than him, towering four inches above his already six foot stature. Oli loved it.

When he finally dragged himself out of bed, he was elated to see he still had three hours to get his house and himself ready before he had to go to the airport. He assumed he wouldn't have to bring anything for Austin considering he could go to one of those food places at the airport or Starbucks later on and eat for free.

Having Austin back with him would relieve so much of the anxiety he's felt over the past year. He often times had laid awake at night wondering if the man he loved was okay, if he safe and warmed and taken cared for. His worry was not overexaggerated either.

Oli had been a worrier long before Austin went away though. Before he left, Oli would fuss over him going out for drinks or for him even going out to meet friends. Austin had stated once, during one if their few Skype calls, that he even let him leave. Honestly, Oliver didn't know why he did.

It would have been so much easier to keep him here where he could know that he was okay. Out there in the big, wide world, he had no idea what was going on or how anyone was doing or if they were still alive. No, Oli was not overreacting.

He slunk his way to the bathroom, sleep still weighing him down slightly. It was very early in the morning and he would have to pick up a lovely, but most likely crabby, boy who had been sitting on a plane for over ten hours. Austin wasn't a fan of planes, and he also didn't know if Austin would have to get readjusted to the heat of a California summer.

He turned on the shower water, flinching when the cold substance touched his hand. He shed his clothes like a snake and waited, naked might I add, for the water to become warm. When it did, he stepped into the cubicle shaped shower and let the water spray his body.

Oli was never one to allow himself to enjoy something like this, but he figured that he needed to today. Instead of doing his typical four-minute washing routine, he stayed under the warmth for over thirty minutes. What did he do in all that time? He pondered every possible situation of what might happen when he sees his boyfriend again. At the end if his luxury, he had come to the conclusion that he would most likely tackle his boyfriend to the ground, kiss him, and crying of happiness.

He turned off the water and wiped some of it off his arms and legs, saving his hair for last because his hair was the exact opposite of easy to take care of. He cursed loudly when he realised he had forgotten to bring clothes into the bathroom. He sighed, wrapped his towel around his waist and going into his bedroom to find some clothes.

He wanted to look nice, but not necessarily put together. He decided, after a moment of deliberation, that he would wear a Drop Dead shirt with a nice pair of shorts and converse. Perhaps, instead of having "Oli and Austin's room" on their door, he should change it to "Spiffy and Austin's room" because he sure was spiffy looking once he put on his clothes. Then again, wasn't he always good looking?
