There once was girl
Who stayed behind closed doors
Listening to the words from beyond her reach
Words of hatred and words of pain
Struck her more than the words of love
There once was a girl
No longer more
Who never fails to get a strike when she bowls
Rolling her harsh words right where she wants it
Words of hatred and words of pain
But I was there
And she was not a little girl
No, she was a girl
Who wore scars on her wrist
Fooled them all by saying, " it was my dog."
But I saw it
And scars like those,
They stay forever
There is a girl
Who has words
Buried deep beneath her soul
So she shouts them out
Hoping the pain will soon flee
However, the pain never leaves
No, the pain will never leave
