Chapter 9

Tessa

I have been here for a total of 4 days I think. I'm not planning to stay here long. Tops of 2 months, but even then that's 2 months too many. I should start searching for jobs to apply for. I go on this website to see what job I could be good at. (Basically they ask you a bunch of questions and the results show you the best category of jobs for you.)

After like 5 minutes I get the results of doing something in like cars or something. Like what the heck. I'm doing another one.

As I was retaking the test I heard Chance talking. It sounded like he was with Mai again. AWWWWW. I went downstairs to say hi to her.

Chance and Mai were sitting on the sofa in the living room. Whatever they were talking about must be interesting because they didn't even notice me come downstairs.

"Hey Mai. Haha oh that rhymed."

"Hi Tessa. What are you doing here......again?"

"Didn't Chance tell you?" My eyes went towards Chance. He obviously forgot to tell her.

"Oh yeah so Tessa currently doesn't have a place to stay right now so she's going to be staying with me for the time being." Chance answered.

"What is she? Poor or something? Doesn't she have any other....people for her to stay with?" Mai "whispered." Like she knew I was standing right here when she said that. I'm not going to retaliate but what was shoved up her ass?

I gave her a cold look. She ignored me. And Chance didn't even say anything.

"No Mai, she's not poor but how she got here is not my decision to tell it's hers."

"No it's okay I don't care."

Oh that girl was pushing my buttons.

"But Chance we're dating now and having another girl with you all the time really shouldn't happen you know. How about she tries to do some stuff with you? I wouldn't know."

At least she attempted to whisper but I'm still standing right in front of them.

"It's fine you don't have to worry about anything. She's practically a stranger."

Woah you met her 2 days after me. And you kissed me the first day we met. And I'M practically a stranger?

"Ok." She gave me a look then grabbed Chance by the shirt and started to kiss him. And the entire time she was just staring at me. What a weirdo?

They didn't seem to be stopping soon so I just headed upstairs.

Chance

It's 12:00 in the morning now and I have still been hanging out with Mai. She's awesome and all but she should go home. I'm tired and I bet she is too.

"Hey Mai you should get going."

"Awww but I don't want to go I want to stay with you."

"I no but you need to get back home."

She started to do her little infamous smirk. What is she thinking about?

"How about I have a little sleepover with you. I could go in your room and we can have some fun." She started to run her fingers up and down my arm. I know what she's talking Mai.

"Another day Mai. Please you should go home."

"Fine. Bye Chancey."

"Um bye." Wtf was that nickname though.

I watched her leave the driveway.

When I turned around I saw Tessa sitting on the stairway.

"Hi Chancey." She said 

"Oh so you heard that."

"I did. But what I didn't hear was you defending me. Your girlfriend was making fun of me and you just sat there with your mouth close not saying anything."

"I know, I know and I feel bad for not saying anything. And I have no excuse for saying that." I said making my way towards her. 

"Yeah you don't." She said going upstairs. I just simply followed her into her room.

"Look Im sorry." I made my way to her bed. She sat next to me.

"Whatever." Then we were quiet. 

I looked over to her. She was looking at anything but me. She's still pissed. It's weird but she looks so cute like that. (And no I'm not a dick for calling her cute but she is.) She looked like she was thinking about something. Then she had to bite her lip and it looked oh so sexy. I kissed her. Now before you start judging she kissed me back.

I kissed her and pushed her back on the bed. She had her hands in my hair and we were making out. My hands were roaming up and down her body. I started to kiss her neck when reality struck.

Chance snap out of it. I got off her and sat there looking away from her in shame.

"I'm so sorry. I don't even no why I did that. Can we just not talk about it?"

She simply nodded her head and I left.
