Aphmau POV

A week passed and I hadn't seen Aaron once. I had been skittish after I got home and I started carrying around a pocket knife to reassure myself. My friends had noticed that I was acting strange, and they had a right to. I was always looking around my surroundings, and didn't like going anywhere alone. Maybe it was just me being paranoid but I honestly felt like I was being stalked.

I walked home later and nervously had my fingers clenched around the straps of my backpack.

"Hey." I whirled around, my fists ready, too see a certain some one standing with his hands in his hoodie pockets.

"Oh, hi." I said lowering my hands.

"I wanted to apologize for the other week...and what happened." His tail was lowered and his ears were twitching like mad, making me think something wasn't right.

"It's fine." I paused a moment, glancing around the area before continuing. "Why don't you come to my house. I need to talk to you about stuff..."

(Line break, a line break, dun dan!)

We sat silently in the living room as I fiddled with with the ends of her hair.

"So um...do you want anything to drink?" I watched him closely as he tapped his foot.

Aaron was a quiet person so I was trying to read his body language to understand him. He sat up straight and his eyes darted around the room. His ears were swiveling around as he listened to the different sounds.

"No thanks."

"Okay well I need to ask you some questions." I took a deep breath and began.

"Was that a wild werewolf pack that kidnapped me?"

"No..."

"Why is your Dad so protective?"

"Reasons."

"Why do you look grumpy all the time?"

"I do not look grumpy!"

"Yes you do!" I retorted.

"Stupid potato..." He mumbled.

"Hey!"

"That's what you get for saying I'm grumpy!"

I crossed my arms and stuck my bottom lip out so I looked pouty, but that didn't last long. I burst in to laughter tears coming to my eyes. I couldn't help it! Aaron scoffed and stood up, obviously annoyed at my childishness.

"Look, I should really get going." He grabbed his backpack off of the floor and put it on one of his shoulders.

"You kidding right?" I asked, a serious tone coming back in to my voice. "I was flipping kidnapped by your father and you won't even tell me why he doesn't want people around you? I want some real answers!" I usually don't raise my voice, so I was even surprised by my sudden outburst.

Aaron groaned and rubbed his temples.

"You're a real pain in my a-" He started.

"Language." I said putting my hands on my hips.

"Butt. I was gonna say butt. You should keep your nose out of other peoples business. It would do you some good." And before I could say something snarky back, he was out the door and almost at the end of the street.

(A/N) *Sighs* This is a short chapter like all the others. I was struggling with writers block so I'm just glad I got this published. It only took me a couple weeks. Note the sarcasm. Anyway, I should probably start writing the next chapter so I have something to post...
