Evans POV

I look out the widow, playing with the end of my shirt. Connor groans and turns off the radio.

BOOM!

Thunder roared and I jumped, yelping. Connor cursed under his breath as it started heavily raining.

"H-how c-close are w-we?" I stutter.

"Almost there." Connor says.

"Do you have an umbrella or something in here?" Jared asks.

"No." Connor groans.

I couldn't talk because I knew if I did I would start crying or whine or do some other embarrassing thing. I was shaking and looking at the sky as if it wouldn't do anything if I watched it.

"You ok Ev'?" Jared asks, looking back at me.

I swallow and nod.

"Is there anything he isn't afraid of?" Connor mumbles, I don't think I was supposed to hear that so I ignored it.

Jared shakes his head with a small smile.

"Hold on." Jared says, un buckling.

"W-what are y-you d-doing?" I stutter, my voice shaking.

Connor looked at Jared for a second but continued to focus on the road. Jared climbed into the back and sat in the middle seat so he was right next to me.

"What's he doing?" Connor asks bluntly.

I just look at Jared, wide eyed. He smiles. Thunder booms again, followed by lightning. Once again making me jump and yelp. I ended up leaning against Jared on accident and he hugged me with one arm.

"Poor child~" he teases and I blush.

I try to get away but he tightens his grip.

"Don't move, I'll protect you." He chuckles, smirking.

My face heats up more.

"Jared." I whine.

"Jared." Connor says sternly.

"Yes boo~" Jared sings, looking at Connor.

Connor gave him a hard look through the mirror then his expression softened and he rolled his eyes. Thunder booms again and I flinch. Jared ruffles my hair and I relax a bit.

I feel the car turn and slow a bit. Not much longer it turns again and stops.

"We're here." Connor says, unbuckling.

I sit up and quickly get out, Jared following. We run to the door and I unlock it. We walk in, shutting the door behind us. We were soaking wet. Jared laughs and Connor chuckles.

"What?" I ask confused.

They didn't answer just laughed harder. Thunder boomed and I jumped.

"Chill Ev' we are safe now." Jared says, brushing away a tear from laughing with his hand.

I shake my head and chuckle.

"I should probably get home." Connor says, turning but I grab his arm.

He looks back at me, blushing a bit.

"It's not safe... stay." I say.

"Evan.." he says.

"Please." I plead.

Connor looks up at Jared then back down at me and sighs.

"Fine." He sighs and I smile.
