My eyes travelled to the door where Reece stood. His entrance made Lucian move his gun from my jaw to straight at the door.

He came here for me.

My heart swelled as I realised he's here for me.My best friend came here for me.

Focusing more on his features, I realised his face looked extremely tired. Tired like he hasn't slept in aeons.Hair, out of place and eyes heaved by bags underneath.

"Join the party.We were waiting for you."Lucian eyed Reece with sarcasm.

"You got that right Lucy boy and looks like he's on time."Ben stood from his chair, gently shook Lucian on the shoulder before making his way to Reece.

"Put your gun down or I'll call the police."Reece angrily pointed his finger at Lucian.

Reece's tone sounded foreign, making it hard to believe that this was the same guy that would bring chocolates and watch movies with me when i was bored.

"Ha!They don't scare me."Lucian replied."Now let's move on to what I was saying to Safee baby here before you...joined."

I hesitantly moved my gaze from Reece to Lucian. Lucian kneeled down using the chair I sat on, making his height slightly lower than mine and his eyes, his eyes containing a storm inside.

"You look beautiful babe." He pushed back a strand of my hair behind my ears, still keeping the gun aimed directly at Reece. He eyes moved to Reece and spoke in a mocking manner. "Don't you agree?"

If the sea storm in Lucian's eyes could flood the city, Reece's thunderstorm could destroy what wasn't left to wreck. Both competing disasters, equally destructive.

When Lucian didn't receive a response, he questioned something that could get answered. "You two seem close enough to me. So Safee what do you say, should I shoot him?"

"What?"My eyes widen.

Suddenly I witnessed the potential of a sea-storm.

Bang

The gunshot didn't wound Reece but I understood the exact meaning behind it. The bullet hit the wall and bounced to the ground next to Reece's foot.

Trigger warning.

In that moment I felt corrupted, corrupted just by hearing the trigger warning. The storm was yet to come.

And no one was ready.

The moment I heard the gunshot, I pressed the call button. My mind couldn't grasp what I thought occurred behind the closed door. It had been more than fifteen minutes and the bickering between Reece and Lucian were easily heard. My hand was still shaking while holding onto the phone; the receiver picked up.

This is the emergency number, what seems to be the emergency?

I just heard a gunshot at a house in convent garden. Please send someone, there are people inside-

Suddenly I felt a hand drag the phone out of my hand and press end to the call.I turned around to face Josiah.

"You'll regret every bit of this." He pointed at me before storming into the hut, dragging me along.
