Song for chapter: 'Turning Page' by Sleeping At Last. Enjoy, this was one of my favorites to write. Xoxo
Harry's POV---
I got impatient, and have already drank half a bottle of this cheap booze. I feel warm and light headed, probably a little too intoxicated for such a serious night. I decided to wait out front, wanting her to see me the minute she comes home.
I freeze at the sight of her. My gosh is she beautiful. Her black dress blends in with the dark sky, but the silver top compliments her curves, teasing at her full chest. Her skin looks soft, her hair is pinned up, and her eyes are as huge as I remember.
She stands there staring at me, as I do the same. I try reading her expression, but it's blank. Her face is calm, her eyes are expressionless, and I'm waiting for her to either cry, leave, or smile. All I can think of to do is take another drink. She continues to stare at me, so I stand, feeling the room vibrate. I hold out the plastic container with a flower.
"I made a promise to you." I hate myself as soon as I speak, since I already fucking blew that promise.
She eventually walks toward me, but pushes me aside to get to the front door, and I stumble off the steps. She opens the door, attempting to close it in my face, but I stop it with my shoe.
Her attitude is present, but she doesn't seem angry. She stays silent as she slips out of her shoes, and places her belongings on the table.
"I think you should go." I ignore her words, as her back faces me and she stares at her hands. I walk toward her, just for her to distance us again, taking steps back.
I grow annoyed, not missing her stubborness or attitude. I let of a sigh, and run my hand over my hair, cringing at the hardness of gel, something Louis insisted on.
'This situation is already a mess, you don't need to look like one too."
Even my subconscious wants to kick his ass.
The guys' a douche, and him and Nicole are too alike. But he's helped me quite a lot, helping me set things up and giving me the confidence in doing something, anything, to try and get Nicole back.
"I'll leave, if you just follow me." She looks up at me as if I'm crazy, and I cant help but feel I am. I had so much planned. Everything I was going to say was memorized, but the minute i saw her, everything vanished. It's been so long since I've seen her. Not through the halls, not from a distance, but seen her. The way she smiles at me, how she snorts when she laughs, and her ability to brighten a room. I loose my breath by her beauty, I'm distracted by her presence. She doesn't even have to try. With the dim kitchen light on her face, you can see the glisten of her eyes, the effort put into her makeup and the twist and twirls of her hair.
She puts her hand on her hip, making it obvious she's growing impatient with me. I start to walk out of the kitchen, and hear her bare feet against the floor follow me behind. I open the patio door, allowing her to step out first.
Nicole's POV
I'm internally freaking out, anger building up as he drunkingly walks across the lawn in his dress pants and messy dress shirt. He leaves me behind on the porch, and I'm taken back by the scene infront of me. Lights line the white fence, and wrap around the tree's. The look is simple yet so pretty, as low music fills my ears and the picnic table is covered in a white sheet and a box of pizza.
But all I want to do is cry and scream, giving him a sense of the pain he gave me.
I instead just sit on the step, ignoring the cold and staring at him, stuck as to what should and will happen next.
