I went to school the next day. I was dreading bumping into Jacob or even Tyra.
She wasn't just ignoring my calls, she was unfriending me on facebook, removing me from snapchat, bbm, all other kinds social networks. She was pissed and I didn't know why.
Adam wasn't going to be in school today either. He had a game to go to.
Today was going to suck.
I was walking to my locker when I noticed some of the cheerleaders bullying someone.
Most of us are nice. But obviously stereotypes are based on some reality.
"Guys, stop. We have practice. You guys need to be on the ground right now. Go there. I'll be there in a sec." I said. It was the only way I knew how to get them to back off.
"Kay, Captain. Should we inform everybody else? Or do they know?" One of them said.
I wasn't really in the mood for practice, plus Tyra would be there, but goodness comes with a price.
"Inform the others."
They left.
"I'm really sorry on beha..." I got cut-off when I saw who it was. "Natalie?"
"Barbie?" she said, mocking me. I expected a 'thanks' but i guess kids these days don't come with manners. "I could have handled your buddies."
"Yeah, I know. I saw how well you were handling them. Were you gonna start screaming for help after or before they shoved you into your locker?" I was getting annoyed. Or maybe I was just pms-ing.
"Whatever." She said and walked away.
"But I wanted to apo..." Whatever.
"Hey." Said some girl. She was standing there the whole time but I guess I hadn't noticed. She kinda startled me.
"Hi." I said.
"I'm sorry for the way she acted. Thanks for the save." She said. She was about to walk away.
"Wait. I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name."
"Robin." She said with a smile and walked off.
She was so nice it was kinda creepy. What was creepier was that I felt like I knew her.

I got to practice and I didn't see Tyra there. I wasn't exactly sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
I just hoped I wouldn't have to see her and Jason during lunch. That would be awkward.

Lunch finally came and that's the first of Tyra I saw all day. She and Jacob were sitting at our spot. I tried not look over them but I couldn't help it. They looked like they were having loads of fun. Even though I was sad, I was also angry. Tyra was supposed to be my best friend. She wasn't supposed to ditch me like that.
I got up from my table, I didn't feel like eating.
I was going to run to the washroom and cry and be all cliche but then Adam walked into the lunch hall.
"Where you going?" He asked.
"Nowhere. How come you're here? Didn't you have a game?" I asked. I was so glad he was here.
"Ummm..." He said gesturing towards his leg.
"Oh my God! Are you fine? How did that happen? Can you walk? Does it hurt to walk?" His leg was in a cast. I was too engrossed in my problems that I hadn't even noticed it when he walked in.
"Ash, Im fine. I just got knocked down by someone and sprained it. I can walk and it doesnt hurt much." He said.
"Are you kidding me? Its in a cast!" I said.
"Oh yeah. I might have also broken a bone." He said like it was no big deal.
Me and Adam were just talking throughout lunch and I could hear laughter coming from my old table. The thing is, it wasn't bothering me anymore. I had Adam with me and that's all I needed.
But I also didn't feel that good about what happened between us. So I went over to Jacob and Tyra to apologise.
"Guys, Im sorry. I'm sorry for being rude, I'm sorry for wasting your time. I'm sorry for leading you on, Jacob. I don't need for you guys to accept my apologies. I just wanted you guys to know that I do feel bad for what I've done. And Ty, you don't have to skip practice cuz of me." It felt good to get that out. I just walked away though because I really didn't want to hear them say something negative in return. I didn't want our friendship to end badly.
"Babe, you didn't have to apologise. It was their fault too. They should have apologised first." Adam said after we'd left the hall.
"But if everyone thought that way then how would the world ever go around?" I said.
"Ashley!" I heard Tyra shout.
I turned around and saw her running towards me.
"I'm sorry, Ash. I thought you were being a jerk, which you were being btw. But I guess you had a good reason. If you really do love this idiot" She said pointing at him. "then I guess you should be with him. And I'll support you like a good BFF."
I hugged her. I might not have wanted to admit it. But I missed her hugs. Adam was all I needed but with Tyra by my side things would definitely be a lot better.
"Guys! Don't hug without me!" Said Jacob running towards us, trying to catch his breath.
"Group hug!" Screamed Tyra. "You too ass-hole. Or should I say ash-hole?" She said pulling Adam into the hug.
