It was killing me that I couldn't tell Tyra about Adam. I had told her that my mom was going out of town and that's why I couldn't come to prom. So now I couldn't tell her about my date.

Jacob was now impossible to talk to because he was always thinking and talking about Tyra. That was hard to see and hear so I stopped spending time with him.

Basically, I couldn't tell anyone about me and Adam.

Adam was now spending Lunch and all his free time with me, which I didn't mind one bit. Looking into his deep blue eyes was now one of my favorite things to do.

Today after school he decided to take me somewhere. I had asked him where and he told me it was a surprise.

I was waiting so eagerly for the bell to ring, so I could go and meet Adam.

The bell finally rang and I rushed out of class. Adam was waiting for me in his new car. He got out and opened the car door for me.

''Where are we going?'' I was curious.

''Just wait. You'll see.'' He had a big smirk on his face. Now he had the upper hand. He knew where we were going and I didn't.

The rest of the car ride was just us arguing about what music was better - Pop or R&B.

''We're here!'' He got out the car and opened the door for me. ''My favorite place in the whole world!''

The car was stopped in front of a big old tree with a tree house on the top branches. The area around the tree was beautiful.

It was the only tree for miles and there were flowers growing everywhere around the tree. It was like a big, wide, open medow.

''My house used to be here.'' Adam was pointing at the area infront of the tree. ''When my parents used to fight, I used to come up to this tree house and hide here till they stopped.''

Adam hadn't talked to me about his parents before but the whole school knew that his parents had died in a fire, which had taken place in their house. He lived with his uncle and aunt now.

He walked toward the tree and started climbing the rope ladder that was dangling from the it. It was pretty well built and it didnt seem worn-out or un-safe, despite it being so old.

''You still come here often?''

''Yeah, whenever I need to get away from the real world I come here. No one else ever comes. You are first person I've ever bought here.''

I looked around the tree house and it was filled with kid's toys and old photos.

I picked up a picture of him and his parents. They looked so happy.

''They were never happy whenever they were together. They were never the perfect couple.'' I didn't understand why Adam was telling me all this. Why was he opening up to me? ''Everyone always thinks of me as a jerk, they think I'm a player. Girls always try to flirt with me. They want to get closer to me but they don't know anything about me. The saddest part? They dont even want to know about me. They just want to own me like I'm something to posses. ''

I knew exactly what he was talking about. Karen, his ex, always told him what to do, what to wear, where to go and after their break-up she tried her best to get him back, she flirted with him, tried to talk him, did everything she could. She never really cared about him though. She was cheating on him with his best friend, Ron.

''And you think I'm not like those girls?''

''I think you're far from anything those girls are like.''

Those words meant a lot to me. Being a cheerleader, people always thought I was self-centered, spoilt, dumb and last but not the least, a slut.

''Guys always try to flirt with me. They think I'm easy. There are rumors in the school that say I'm pregnant. My parents never respected or loved each other. My brother ran away when he was 18 because he couldn't stand living in the same house as them.'' I started crying.

Adam took my hand and pulled me closer to him. He made me sit on his lap and hugged me till I finished.

''You know, you didn't have to share just because I did right?''

''I know, but I thought you earned it. Also, I've never been able to talk to anyone about this before. It feels good to let it all out.'' I was still hugging him. His hug made me feel warm and safe, like I was immortal right then. It was just to peaceful.

''I know. It feels good to find someone you can tell everything to.''

''It feels better to find someone you can be completely honest to.''

He took my face in his hands and kissed me. At that moment I swear we were infinite.

He took me back home but I didn't want to leave him. But he convinced me and I went.

I got home and went up the stairs to go my room immediately. I needed to go and write in my diary! I hadn't written anything about Adam yet and I felt it was about time.

Who knew that not writing anything about him yet was going to make me pay?
