Chapter 3

1 year later

Jaiden is just getting the hang of walking, so he's wobbling around, before Alayna pushes him down, causing him to start crying. "Alayna, don't do that again," Normani says, walking over to him and picking him up as he continues to cry. "I know, I know." Normani coos, starting to bounce him until he stops crying.

Kaylynn comes out of the room and slightly pushes Alayna, making them laugh. "Well then." Vanessa laughs.

"She's going to be your spitting image when she gets older," Normani says.

"You think so?"

"I can answer that question, yes." Ally chuckles, washing a dish.

Normani goes in the room to start feeding.

Alayna crosses her arms, sitting on the floor with a pout. "Hmph," Alayna says.

Ally comes out of the room. "Come here cutie," Ally says to Alayna, before picking her up and going to sit next to Vanessa. "What's the matter?"

"No share mommy," Alayna says, crossing her arms again.

"You're going to have to consult your mama about that." Ally chuckles.

"Thanks genius," Vanessa says.

"Anytime," Ally says.

"Why share mommy?" Alayna asks, looking at Vanessa.

"You're just like your mommy, jealousy and all." Vanessa chuckles.

"She's overprotective like Mani is too. Every time someone walks up to their stroller, she stands in front of it so they can't see them." Ally laughs. "Why do you do that?"

Alayna shrugs. "Get boo boo."

"That was like one time Mani didn't want me to go rolling down a hill because she thought I would fall into a man hole like 2 feet away," Vanessa says.

"What?! I heard my name!" Normani says.

"I bet you did!" Vanessa replies.

Normani puts the twins down to sleep, before walking into the living room. "What are y'all saying about me?"

"You have a little ball of jealousy here, and I was saying she acts just like you," Vanessa says, causing Ally to laugh.

"You actually said that to her," Ally says.

"Well damn." Normani chuckles, before walking over and picking up Alayna, kissing her cheek. "Mommy loves you so much princess."

"Yay," Alayna says, hugging back.
Normani sits down with Alayna in her lap. "So, what is this whole thing? Why is it so secret?"

"Basically what this whole thing is about, is that it's an operation to take down Sammy," Vanessa says.

"Has she hurt that many people?" Normani asks.

"She's abandoned more kids than I can count," Ally says.

"Did you have a kid for her?" Normani asks.

"Well, it was like...about 3 years ago. She was pregnant, and I believe it was mine. She did too, so I was like fine, it's whatever. I went with her to all the appointments and stuff, before she tells me that she wasn't ready to be a parent so she aborted it. Like a week after she that is when you discovered you were pregnant with Alayna," Vanessa says.

Normani's jaw drops, before she smirks. "That's what she gets." Normani shrugs.

"I could tell Vanessa was really mad about it when she called me, but she wasn't crying mad," Ally says.
