No One's POV

"Holy shit....you're pregnant. You're actually pregnant," Vanessa says.

"Yes yes yes!" Lauren exclaims happily. "You don't know how long I've wanted a kid, you literally don't even know."

Vanessa laughs. "I'm pretty sure I don't, so I'm not even going to act like I do,"

"Good." Lauren chuckles.

"So....do you know who's it is?" Vanessa asks.

"Yours," Lauren says.

"How?" Vanessa asks.

"I just know," Lauren says.

"That's not good enough for me, I need a rock solid answer on whether this baby is mine or not," Vanessa says.

"Well, can you just stay around in case it is yours?" Lauren asks.

"Yeah....about that....Normani isn't really on board with it," Vanessa says.

"Why not?" Lauren asks.

Vanessa shrugs. "I don't know. She just thinks I'm going to leave her for you,"

"Are you?" Lauren asks, curiously.

"No," Vanessa says.

"What?" Lauren asks. "Why not?"

"Why should I?" Vanessa asks.

"What do you mean why should you? Because....I like having you around," Lauren says.

"I know you do, but I also hope you know that nothing is going to come out of this," Vanessa says.

Lauren freezes, before looking up at Vanessa. "Really?"

"Yes, really," Vanessa says.

"So you're going to leave me with a baby?" Lauren asks.

"You have Ty to help you," Vanessa says.

"I know, but I want you to help me," Lauren says.

"As much as I feel like I should help you, you have to remember that Normani is also pregnant. She comes first," Vanessa says.

"That baby might not even be yours," Lauren says.

"This baby may not even be mine," Vanessa says. "I'm not about to sit around on a maybe when I don't have to."

"You make no sense. You could easily be sitting around on a maybe for Normani too," Lauren says.

"I don't care. Even if I am, I will do it for her. She already didn't want me to come talk to you, but I convinced her to let me," Vanessa says.

"If you can convince her once, you can convince her again," Lauren says.

"If she leaves me once, she can leave me again," Vanessa says.

"She wouldn't leave you, she loves you too much to leave you. Also, you never broke up according to her. What she says is that you just separated and did your own things. Can't you do that again?" Lauren asks, curiously.

"I could, yes, but I don't want to put that stress on her while she's pregnant. The man that was supposed to be the other parent to her baby was cheating on her with Sammy the whole time and he's already married. So he's in jail for bigamy. I don't want her to think I'd leave her for someone as minute as you," Vanessa says.
