No One's POV
Ally is currently trying to convince her younger cousin to get up for work to no avail. "Get up,"
"No," Vanessa says.
"Please?"
"No,"
"Pleaseeeee," Ally drags out.
"Noooo," Vanessa replies in the same tone.
"Just get up!" Ally exclaims, hitting the girl with a pillow.
Vanessa squeals, but doesn't move. "No!"
Ally groans, "Ughhhh, I don't like you," before laying back down.
"Great, now we're both even," Vanessa says.
"Vanessa, you should really get up," Ally tries again.
"How about no," Vanessa says.
"Are we going to have to go through this every morning?" Ally asks.
"Precisely," Vanessa says.
"Why are you being so difficult?" Ally chuckles.
Vanessa lightly chuckles, turning to face Ally. "I'm not even being difficult, I just see no point in getting up. Like, I have no motivation to do anything,"
Ally is confused for a bit, before it dawns on her. "You miss her, don't you?"
"I really do, and I want it to go away because it's trying to consume me." Vanessa groans, chuckling.
"Don't worry, with time it'll get better,"
"But then, I feel like when I meet her again we won't feel the same. It'll kill me inside because we used to love each other to death, literally. We have 3 kids together and it's going to sound like we just used each for sex," Vanessa says.
"You never know how you're going to feel in the future, hell you can't even predict how you'll feel in an hour. Just live life as it comes,"
Vanessa sighs, getting out of bed. "Okay, I guess you're right,"
After she showers and puts on her clothes, she picks up the bracelet and gives it one long press, before pressing it again.
Normani couldn't help but lightheartedly laugh at this, returning the gesture. "I miss you too princess...,"
"Hey Mani, you've normally left by now," Anna says, appearing in her doorway.
Normani looks over at her clock.
7:35 am.
"Shit, I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I'd lost track of time." Normani chuckles, getting off her bed and going to grab her purse off the door.
"I'll see if I can get in contact with her for you," Anna says.
"Can you? That'd be great," Normani says.
"I'll see what I can do,"
"You're amazing, see you later," Normani says, starting to walk out of the door.
Little feet come pattering behind her. "Mommy!"
Normani turns around to see Alayna extending her arms up to Normani. Normani smiles, lifting her oldest child up and pecking her lips affectionately. "I love you princess,"
