She looked all dolled up in front of the cameras. Every time I saw her I just wanted to punch her in the face. She looked like she was just there for the money. Well, she probably was actually. I held Harry’s hand, mainly to reassure him that I was there for him, but also to calm me down too. The interviewer, Nicholas Whitchell, was hated by Harry, William and their father. He betrayed their trust a few years back and they were never going to forgive him.

He began. “So, Chelsy, why are you doing this interview?”

She replied, “I am doing this so the people of this country know who the real Harry is, and how I was treated by him.”

“How were you treated by him?”

“At the start he treated me like a real gentleman would. During the first few months, we just went out as friends, but then it became more serious. We started going out after about 5 months. Everything was perfect. He would buy my gifts, treat me to holidays and weekends away, but when he went off to Sandhurst everything changed. He was going out with his friends more and more, but not asking me. During that time I had no idea where I stood.”

“Is that when you split?”

“Yes we split just after that time. We didn’t speak to each other for weeks, but after 3 months he was saying that he missed me, and he wanted me back.”

“Did you instantly take him back?”

“Yes, I did. I thought he would have grown up a bit since we split.”

“Did he?”

“It seemed like he did. He kept apologising for what he had done. We kept our relationship quiet for a few months, and started walking out together again. This was in about 2007.”

“You had a pretty good relationship until 2010/2011, is that correct?”

“Yes. Things were like they were before, and Harry finished at Sandhurst but then started on his apache helicopter training course and couldn’t fit in any time for me.”

“How did you feel when he started the course?”

“I felt alone and isolated in my own home. I couldn’t go outside because I would be hounded by the press. He asked me to move in with him at Wattisham, but I couldn’t due to my work.  I didn’t know what to do. He always said that he would save time for me, but he didn’t. So, just before he went to America, about a year ago, I ended it with him.”

“Did you end on good terms?”

“No, not really. He couldn’t understand why I was leaving him. There was a lot of arguing and bickering leading up to the moment I left him. He thought that it was the worst time to do it as well, but I had to. I couldn’t live like that anymore.”

“Did you love him?”

“Yes, I did. With all my heart.”

“Have you heard about Harry’s new relationship?”

“Yes, I have.”

“When you first heard about his new relationship with Sophia, how did you feel?”

“I was happy that he had moved on from me, but at the same time I felt hurt that he hadn’t said anything to me. We were together for a long time, and since we split, we haven’t spoken at all. I just feel that I should know from him if has moved on, not from the press.”

“Have you ever heard of Sophia before?”

“No, I haven’t. To me, she sounds like a nobody who is just into Harry for his money and social status.”

“Do you think Sophia and Harry will last very long?”

“No, no I don’t. I think that he will realise soon that he really misses me, and will come back to me. Harry is just on the rebound.”

“So, you think this is just a fling?”

“Yes. She means nothing to him, just as he means nothing to her.”

“And, lastly, Chelsy is there anyone new in your life?”

“No, there isn’t. It is very difficult to have a relationship when there is so much media attention put on my shoulders. All because I fell in love with a Prince.”

“Thank you Chelsy.”

Charles turned to T.V off. I turned to Harry to see tears streaming down his face. “Are you ok babe?” he didn’t answer. He just let go of my hand and ran towards his bedroom. I went after him, William close behind. “Wills, shall I go in or you?”

“You go, I’ll be here as backup. He needs you.” I hesitantly opened the door of his room. I saw him face down on the bed, whimpering to himself. Right now, all I wanted to do was burst into tears. I hated seeing Harry like this. I bit the tears back and sat next to him on the bed.

“Harry, look at me.” He turned himself round and I took him in my arms, just letting him cry. It must have been 10 or 15 minutes until he stopped. I just stroked his back and wiped the tears from his cheeks. Wills was right, he needed me, but I didn’t have to say anything for him to know I was there. He stopped crying. “Baby, do you wanna talk about it?” He nodded. “Go on then sweet.”

“I… I just hate how she has made me sound like the big bad wolf in all of this. She did exactly like I thought she would. She never told me she loved me. Then she blames me for having the press on her back all the time, and then to put the icing on the cake, she has a go at you for using me. She is a complete liar. I HATE HER SOPH!!!” I couldn’t help it; the tears were coming for me now too.

“Baby, listen to me. You know the truth, so don’t beat yourself up about what she has said. I am with you because I love you, and I trust you, that’s all you need to know too. I love you Harry Wales. You are a right melon!”

“I love you too, and I’m sorry if you were hurt by what she said. I am not on the rebound.” He pulled me in close, like a role reversal from before,” I love you, more than I have ever loved her. She used me, and from now on, we will never say her name in the presence of one another. She’s not worth it. Deal?”

“Sounds like a pretty good idea to me. I love you.” I leaned in for a kiss, which he made more passionate than I expected. I pulled away, “Fancy going for a walk?”

“A walk? It’s nearly 10?”

“And, I need to go back to my flat anyway, unless you want to give the school a good reason why I won’t be in tomorrow. Maybe a walk will do us good.”

“I’ll just get a bag, and I’ll stay the night, yeh?”

“I’d love that. Thank you.”

We spent the rest of the evening out on our chilly walk, and because it was night-time no one would disturb us. We talked about my family, and all of the good stuff that happened during the weekend before her-who-shall-not-be-named ruined it all. We got to my flat, ordered a take away, and once harry and I were snuggled up in bed, he asked me,” baby, what are you doing for Christmas and New Year this year?”

“I have to go into work for I think a couple of days for teacher training and all that, but apart from that, you can have me for two weeks. Why, what were you thinking?”

“Well, I was thinking of taking you away for a couple of weeks.”

“So, you are asking me to come on holiday with you?”

“Yes, I guess I am!”

“I would love to! When are we going?”

“Well if you would like to know exactly, it will be in a few weeks.”

“Is it really November already?”

“Yeh, babe it is.”

“We have only known each other for like 3 months!”

“Weird, huh? So do you want to come on holiday or what?

“I’d love to, oh and Harry, I love you.”

“I love you too.” He kissed me on the top of the head, and we slept our worries away.
