The next couple of weeks flew past without a hitch. Chelsy had left us alone, I was getting on really well with William and Catherine, but I knew know that it was time for Harry to meet my parents. I had to butter him up to tell him the news. This was my plan of action for tonight then, phone Harry, tell him we were going out for dinner, at his favourite restaurant (and I was paying), make myself look absolutely flawless, make him speechless, reassure him that we would have pudding with our dinner, and gently drop in the conversation of meeting my parents. Well, shall we see how it will go then?
I phoned Harry just as I was leaving work. The day was great. We arranged to meet at mine at 6:30, which gave me 2 hours to get ready. I knew exactly what dress I was going to wear as well. It was a cut-out dark blue cocktail dress, which would definitely make him speechless! Altogether it took me about 1 hour 45 minutes for me to get ready, hair and make-up included. I made sure my flat was clean and tidy for Harry. At the moment, we were spending more and more time at Clarence House, which I didn’t mind one bit. It got me out of the house in the evening anyways!
Back to the plot, then. At 6:29, exactly, Harry knocked on the door, looking unusually smart. He wore a black suit with open shirt collar, and my, he did look sexy!! I saw his eyes scan me. Twice. He grinned like a Cheshire cat. “Alright, I guess you like it then?” He couldn’t say anything. He was speechless, just like I wanted. “Well, say something..” I giggled, but he just looked at me. “Harry?”
“I don’t know what to say. You look stunning, flawless, beautiful, and gorgeous and you know the best part of all of that? You are mine.” He pulled me close to him, and kissed me with more passion than ever before. I broke the kiss, and he smiled. “I have only one question, though.” Damn, he knew what I was up to. I nodded so he carried on. “What’s the big occasion?”
“Well, you will have to wait for later for the answer to that question.” I thought I’d play with him for a bit longer. He gave me a quizzical look.
“Well, we’d better get going then beautiful,” He gave me a small peck on the cheek, took my hand and led me to the cab.
A few heads turned as we made our way into the restaurant. I had past caring about what others thought about me. The paps were still taking photos, but the press had left well enough alone. That’s all I could ask for. Harry and I sat down at our favourite table, ordered our favourite meals, as well as the wine, and started talking.
“What’s the big occasion then baby?” He began.
“Right, well, basically, I have been talking to my parents, and I have told them and well, they want to meet you.”
“Ok,” He looked a bit confused, “I’d love to meet them,” Phew, good.
“But? There must be a but somewhere. Please don’t say but!”
“Babe, please shut up for one second!” He took my hands, “I would love to meet your family.”
He was being deadly serious; my smile was as broad as it could ever be, “Aw babe, thank you so much! I love you so much!”
He leaned over the table to kiss me, “I love you too.”
“So, would you be free next weekend to meet my family then?” I knew that I was pushing it a bit, but oh well.
“I would love to meet your family next weekend baby.” I was grinning from ear to ear like a Cheshire cat.
“Thank you. I love you.” Luckily the food came just in time for him not to say anything. The rest of the evening went amazingly well. Harry stayed the night and woke me up early the next day. Well, actually to be fair, it was 11:30 when he woke me up. I think we drank too much. He kissed me lightly on the cheek to wake me up, which was now normal routine for us two.
