Only You Can Break Me

Camila felt antsy as they grabbed their bags. She couldn't believe they were in Honolulu. She felt the separation anxiety from being away from her children, but she knew they would be safe with her parents. Camila followed Lauren toward the rental car area to pick up their vehicle. "I can't believe we're in Hawaii." She wrapped her arm around her waist as they stood in line at the Enterprise counter to wait their turn.

Lauren smiled as her wife wrapped her arm around her waist. She rested her head on Camila's as she nodded her head, "I'm so excited." She said happily. Lauren was excited to be away with only her wife. 

"The hotel is close, too, isn't it?" If Camila remembered correctly, they'd selected a hotel along the beach and it was only about 10 miles from the airport. 

Lauren nodded her head agains as she put her arm around Camila's shoulder. "Yeah. It'll take about 15 minutes to drive there." She said softly as she kissed her wife's temple.

"Crap, I have to call mami." Camila suddenly remembered and pulled her phone from her purse to turn it back on so she could call to let them know they landed okay.

Lauren shook her head and watched as her wife turned her phone on... "We are not going to be checking up on the kids all day everyday." She reminded her wife. Camila was definitely more nervous about leaving the kids behind than Lauren was.

Camila forced herself to nod. This was a trip for her and Lauren. As much as she wanted to call every day to check up on the kids, she'd promised herself and Lauren that she wouldn't. "I'm still going to let mami know we're here though." She defended herself as she called her mother. 

Lauren listened as her wife called Sinu on the phone to let her know they arrived safely. She had talked to her mother-in-law prior to leaving and the woman told her that she would ignore Camila's calls unless there was an emergency happening. 

Camila tried to keep the conversation as short as she could and avoided asking to talk to the kids. By the time she got off the phone, they were up at the counter and the clerk greeted them cheerfully and asked if they had a reservation.

Lauren smiled when her wife hung up the phone and they walked up to the desk. "Hi, yes." She said pulling out her credit card, "It's under Jauregui. First name Lauren." She said as she rested her hand on Camila's lower back.

Camila put her phone back into the purse as Lauren talked to the rep and handed everything over to her. "Oh, we did list me as a secondary driver." She pulled her license out of her wallet to hand to the worker as he got everything checked in for the vehicle.

"I have you here for 5 days, returning the vehicle this Monday by 10AM." He verified everything with them. Camila nodded before looking at Lauren. They weren't quite able to get the whole week away, but it was close enough for them to have plenty of time together.

After a few minutes they were handed the keys and were heading out to their car. Lauren carried her own bag as she pulled Camila's suitcase behind her. Lauren knew she didnt have to do that, but she loved taking care of her wife.

Once they got to the car, Lauren unlocked it and popped the trunk before walking around and putting their things inside. She looked at her wife and smiled before getting in the driver's seat, buckling up.

"I already love it." Camila laughed some as she took a moment to let the sun warm her skin from being inside. She wanted to spend a lot of time at the beach and had packed several bathing suits to make sure she had enough for the duration of their stay. She slipped into the passenger seat and reached out to set up the built in GPS once Lauren had the car on.
