Camila was quiet for the entire time as she drove home with Taylor trying to explain what happened.
"I didn't want her to kiss me. I told her not to and she did it anyway!" He tried to defend himself.
Camila chose not to say anything right away. She didn't want to yell at her son, especially while she was driving a vehicle. Camila did her best to stay calm as she pulled into the driveway next to Lauren's car. She had to cut her office hours short that day because of the phone call from the school. She grabbed her bag and purse before getting out of the car. "Inside, now." She told him firmly and he hung his head before grabbing his backpack and going up to the front door.
As soon as Camila opened the door, he tried to go upstairs. "No you don't, living room." She redirected him. Taylor put down his bag on the floor and slipped off his shoes before walking toward the living room where Lauren was at.
Lauren had gotten home from work not long ago. She was exhausted from having to be up at 415 to get to work by 5. She laid down on the couch fully intending on taking a nap until it was time to get Lily from school. Lauren turned on the TV and pulled the blanket over her before she started to doze off.
Just as she was about to fall asleep she heard the front door open. Lauren looked up and saw Taylor walking into the living room followed by a pissed off looking Camila. "What going on?" She asked tiredly as she sat up. "Why are you both home early?" She said.
Camila put her own bag down near the table at the door then slipped her purse off and followed Taylor into the living room. He just hung his head when Lauren asked him what was wrong. "Go ahead, tell your momma what happened." She folded her arms over her chest and watched him.
"Sarah kissed me when I didn't want her too."
Camila's jaw clenched some. "And tell her what you did."
Taylor sighed softly. "I pushed her away from me because I didn't want her to kiss me!"
Lauren was already mentally exhausted. She just sighed as she listened to what Taylor was saying. She shook her head and rested it in her hands briefly. "Taylor," She started softly, "We've told you many times that hitting and pushing is not a way to get people to listen to you." Lauren said as she looked over at her son who was near tears. "Why did Sarah kissing you bother you so much?" She asked as she looked at him.
"She's yucky. Girls is yucky." Taylor said as he leans back against the couch pouting, with his arms across his chest.
Camila sucked in a breath as she watched Taylor interacting with Lauren. She deflated some at hearing that girls were yucky in Taylor's eyes. "But me and your momma are both girls, are we yucky?" She sat down on the recliner and watched them.
"No... I don't want girls kissing me." He looked down.
Camila looked toward Lauren then and nodded. "It's not okay to push people, baby." She got up and moved to sit on the other side of Taylor. "I used to be married to someone that used to push me all of the time." She started off softly, hoping that it would help her son to understand that it wasn't okay.
Lauren wrapped her arm around his shoulder and held him closely. She could tell that he was sad and remorseful for pushing her, but something else was bothering him.
"Momma pushes you?" Taylor looked at Camila as he asked his question. "You was married to not momma the whole time?" He asked further.
Lauren reached across to rub her wife's arm with her hand, showing her support in telling Taylor whatever she wanted.
