Lauren stepped out of the shower and grabbed her towel before she started to dry herself off. She hung the towel back up after drying her hair and taking her contacts out. She grabbed her glasses and put them on before walking into the bedroom, not bothering to put clothes on.
She walked over and made sure their door was locked before she went and climbed into bed with her wife. It had been hard for them lately...since Taylor's little incident. He had been staying with his grandma and grandpa most nights. They just didn't know what to do about it anymore. Lauren got under the covers and instantly curled into her wife's side and looked up at the TV, resting her hand on her wife's stomach, sighing softly.
"I feel a little over dressed." Camila whispered as she ran her fingers lovingly through Lauren's hair. Things has been rough between them with trying to balance the kids and explain to them why Taylor hasn't been home. It's been hard on the kids too without their big brother. "Do you work tomorrow?" She asked softly while continuing to gently stroke her hair.
"I just didn't feel like putting clothes on." Lauren said softly. She rested her head on her wife's chest as she closed her eyes. She felt the comfort of her wife's fingers running through her hair continuously, humming softly. Lauren looked up at her wife and kissed her jaw gently. "I don't work tomorrow." She said as she shifted closer to Camila. She closed her eyes and relaxed. "I was just planning on spending some time at the gym and grocery shopping in the morning." Lauren said as she let her finger tips run under Camila's shirt, touching her bare stomach.
Camila gently traced her fingers along Lauren's jaw and smiled at her. "I don't have to be at the college until 1, so if you go early enough to the gym I'll to with you." She sank back into the pillows and relaxed when she felt Lauren's fingers on her skin.
"Lily was asking about Taylor again. I don't know how to explain it to her that he'll come home when he's ready." Camila sighed softly. "How are you holding up?" She asked as she turned her head some to look at her wife.
Lauren hated when Camila brought the conversation up...she didn't want to think about it, which is why she let her wife field the questions from the kids. Lauren didn't say anything in response to Camila, even after the woman asked her how she was doing. She shifted slightly and tossed a leg over Camila's waist as she thought about other things, "I have some vacation time I have to take. I was thinking that we could fix up the basement during that time." Lauren said.
Camila sighed some when Lauren just ignored her question. They had been talking about fixing up the basement to make it Taylor's new room, but that wasn't what she wanted to talk about right now. "See if you can time it during Spring break for me."
Lauren knew that Camila had to be getting irritated as of late because she kept changing the subject every time she brought up Taylor. "Okay. I can do that. I may take a long weekend one time and take Cameron to the hands on museum. He said he's been wanting to go."
"Lauren, babe, we need to try to figure out what to do with him... should we take him to a therapist?" Camila honestly feared that a therapist visit would make his hatred worse, but it could help him out in the long run.
Lauren looked up at Camila, actively choosing to ignore the topic longer, as she trailed her fingers a little lower, moving toward her wife's pelvic bone. "When's the last time we had sex? I feel like it has been forever." She said as she looked back at the TV.
Camila bit her lower lip as Lauren spoke again. "Baby. I'm being serious right now." It had been a while since they'd had sex due to all of the stress, but that was the last thing on her mind right now. "We need to figure this out. You can't just keep ignoring what's going on because you don't want to face it." Camila told her bluntly. Lauren needed to face it whether she wanted to or not. She reached down to grab her wife's hand to prevent it from going any further. Normally she didn't stop her, but they really needed to talk about this. It had been weeks since the incident happened and they had barely talked about it.
