AN: The only way to start off the sequel
Camila reached out to pull Lily off the bed when she started jumping on it. "Are you trying to hurt yourself?" She scolded her as Taylor came out from using the bathroom. "What do you guys want for dinner tonight?" She asked her kids as Lauren went into the bathroom.
"Pizza!" Both Lily and Taylor stated at the same time, causing Camila to laugh.
The family had checked into their hotel for the night. They had decided to take a roadtrip as a before Taylor started school in the fall. They were a couple of hours outside of Omaha and had decided to stop for the night because the kids were getting restless.
"Guys, we just had pizza last night. Why don't we go down and ask what's around here." Camila suggested before putting Lily down onto the floor and stretching her arms above her head.
"I know some places we could go, babe." Lauren said softly as she walked over to the woman. "I lived here the majority of my life, remember?" She said, wrapping her arms around the woman from behind. "What do you feel like eating?" She asked. "And not pizza." Lauren said as she walked over and tickled Taylor before helping him get his shoes on.
Camila looked toward her wife, "I would like a home cooked meal tonight. We've had pizza and fast food for the past two nights." She grabbed Lily's shoes to help her put them back on. "And I'm sure we can find some place that has mac and cheese." She told her daughter before letting her slide off the bed and go toward the door.
Lauren nodded her head in agreement with her wife. She finished tying Taylor's shoes as he took off to follow his sister to the door. "I know just the place." She said as she slipped on her flip flops. "When I was younger we used to go to this place on our way to my aunts house in Kansas."
Camila grabbed her purse and slid the room key into one of the pockets before looking toward Lauren. "I trust you, babe. By the way, It's your turn to drive. I'm tired," she smiled.
Lauren chuckled and took the car keys out of her pocket before helping Taylor into his carseat while Camila got Lily in. She got in the front seat and put on her seatbelt, taking off toward the restaurant.
They made the quick drive to the restaurant. During the drive, Lauren couldnt help but laugh at the constant, 'are we there yet' questions she got from the kids. She turned around and looked at them, "We are here now, guys." Lauren said as she got out of the car and opened the door for Taylor.
Taylor immediately jumped out and started to take off, "Ah, ah. Taylor!" Lauren said sternly. "No running in the parking lot and you stay with mami and I." She said taking his hand.
Getting out, Camila opened up the back door to let Lily jump out before she took her hand to walk across the parking lot to get inside.
"Hi... it'll be 4." Camila told the hostess as Lauren and Taylor came in behind them.
Camila smiled when the waitress grabbed two booster seats for them. She helped Lily up into the seat before picking up the menu and sliding into the booth across from her wife and son. Camila looked over the menu before looking at her daughter. "What do you want, baby girl?" She leaned a little closer to her as she looked at the back with the kids menu.
"Pizza." Lily stated adamantly.
Camila shook her head before pointing to one of the pictures. "They don't have pizza, how about some chicken tenders and mac and cheese?" She tried.
Lily pursed her lips for a moment before nodding. "That's otay." She stated.
Lauren didn't even need to look at the menu. She knew what she was getting because she got the same thing every year when they made the trip to her aunts. She helped Taylor read over the menu as her wife helped Lily.
