Lauren parked the car in the driveway and got out of the car. She opened the back door and carefully took out Ethan's car seat. She made sure to lean the seat forward so Lily and Taylor could get out. Lauren picked Ethan up and walked around to the other side of the car. "Lily, help Cameron get out of his seat." She said as she watched her wife slide out.
Camila groaned some as she climbed out of the SUV. Her stomach was still killing her and the pain medicine they had her on was making her feel dizzy and slightly loopy, but she was thankful to be home with her wife and their children. Camila watched as Taylor grabbed her bag from the back before running up to the front door. "I hate that I can't help you lift them right now."
Lauren gently kissed Camila's lips before opening the door to get Emma's car seat. She smiled at her wife, "It's no problem, baby." Lauren said softly before closing the door and carrying both car seats toward the house.
"We definitely need a minivan." Lauren said seriously. It was going to be difficult to have 2 carseats and 2 booster seats still in the car all the time.
Camila sighed softly and lifted her arms above her head to stretch. She regretted it as she felt her stitches pulling some. "Let me heal from surgery first before we look at buying a new car." She chuckled some as she went into the living room slowly.
Lauren nodded her head as she set the car seats on the ground. She was thankful that Taylor was big enough to help carry one of the babies. She looked at her wife, "We can figure it out later...I'm just making an observation. The last thing we need is one of the kids getting hurt trying to climb over the seats."
The moment Camila sat down, Lily was up beside her. "Remember what we talked about at the hospital?" The little girl nodded and just rested her head on Camila's leg instead.
"Tay, can you take Emma over to mami, please?" Lauren asked before getting Ethan out of the car seat.
"Thank you buddy." Camila reached out to take the newborn and smiled some more as Emma looked up at her. "Hey baby girl." She whispered to her before the girl yawned and closed her eyes again. "I don't think either of them are hungry now. I fed them before we left." Camila closed her own eyes for a moment as Cameron started playing with his toys in the living room.
Lauren reached down and picked up Ethan. She smiled as the little boy grinned at her and cooed softly. She hugged him against her chest as she slowly walked over to the couch, sitting down right next to her wife. Lauren rested her head on Camila's shoulder as she sat down.
"It's been such a long week." Lauren said softly. They had both gotten time off for Camila's surgery and the birth of their new babies. The older woman yawned as she looked over at Ethan who mimicked her. "It's so good having you home." She said to her wife, kissing the woman's jaw line softly.
Camila looked over toward her wife and smiled some. "It has been a long week. And you have no idea how happy I am that I'm home, too. I missed being home with all of you." She shifted a little bit before wincing. "At least I'm not hurting as much as I was a few days ago." She smiled before an idea hit her when she saw Cameron yawn, too.
"Why don't we all go take a nap?" Camila suggested as she looked toward Lauren. "The cribs are set up in our room already and will be for a few more weeks... why don't we all go take a nap together?" She missed cuddling with her family.
Lauren closed her eyes as she gently patted Ethan's back. She sighed softly and opened her eyes looking at Camila. She nodded her head. "I like that idea." She said softly. Lauren sat up and looked down at her wife, "Are you able to carry Emma up, since she is already in your arms?" She asked softly. "If you can't just hand her over to Taylor." She looked down at Cameron who was happily coloring on the ground.
"Come on, Cammy. We going upstairs. It's nap time." Lauren said to him as the two of them headed up the stairs.
Camila thought about it for a minute before she tried to stand up. The moment she tried, she sat back and shook her head as a pain traveled through her stomach.
Taylor noticed the wince on his mami's face. "I can help, mami." He said as he stood up.
"Just be careful going up the steps, Tay." Camila sat back and smiled as their oldest son carefully took Emma and tucked her in his arms. Camila waited until he took a step back before she stood up slowly.
Lauren watched as Cameron pouted as they made it up the stairs. "Mommies bedroom bud." She said as he walked faster. She look behind, watching as Taylor as he slowly made his way up the stairs with Emma in his arms.
"You coming, babe?" Lauren said as she got to the top.
Camila rested her hand on her bandages before looking at her wife. "I'm coming." She waited until the others were up the steps before she took her time to follow them.
"Do you need help?" Lauren asked concerned.
"I'm okay, just moving a little slow." Camila rested her hand on Lauren's waist when she got to the top of the steps. "I'm going to go lay down, baby."
"I can't wait to get into bed and hold you...sleeping in your arms." Lauren said softly. "That's what I've missed most." She said honestly as she went and put Ethan in his crib. She smiled as Taylor walked over to the bed, Emma sleeping in her crib.
Once she was sure the twins were set, Lauren went over to the bed and helped her wife in before slipping in behind her. She looked down at Cameron who was coloring, laying at the bottom of the bed.
Camila leaned down as best as she could to kiss the top of Emma's head before going to do the same with Ethan. She winced softly and held her stomach as she laid down on her side of the bed. "I'm so glad to be home." She got comfortable on her side as she watched Lily climb up in front of her and curl into her front.
Lauren wrapped her arm around Camila's waist as she nuzzled her face into the back on the woman's neck. She nodded her head, "I'm so glad you're home, too, love." She whispered.
"Can I turn a movie on? I'm not really tired." Taylor asked as he climbed into bed with the family.
Camila lifted her head and nodded. "That's fine, buddy, just make sure the volume is down so it doesn't wake the babies."
Lauren knew that Taylor was over the whole napping thing. She smiled as Cameron dropped his crayons and coloring book on the floor before crawling up to weasel his way in front of Lauren and behind Camila.
Camila sighed contently as she felt Lauren against her. Her comfort was short lived when she felt the small body wedging between herself and Lauren. She couldn't help but laugh some when Lauren sighed and moved back. "We'll get our time later baby."
Lauren sighed as she made room for him. All she wanted was to cuddle with her wife, but she would get the chance later. She rolled on to her back as she sighed, opening her arms so Cameron could cuddle into her.
Taylor cuddled up behind Lauren, so she turned and kissed both of her boys' heads as Taylor settled on a movie. She reached her hand out to touch her wife's arm softly. As much as she wanted to cuddle with her wife, she had to put her selfish desires away and think of the kids first. She knew that she wouldn't fall asleep without holding her wife so she watched the movie with Taylor as she heard her wife's breaths evened out.
