Fast forward to 2010

-Hermione Granger-

"We're running late!" I managed to shout as the tight maid of honor dress squished my lungs. I was sure that it was flowing the time Rosalind gave me it- I shouldn't have done those late night Krispy Kreme sneak outs with the girls.

Our wedding photo was on the vanity- it had been 6 years and I still hadn't framed it. Yet it was as adorable as ever:

I was lost in my romantic thoughts when yesterday's fly whined right behind my ear provokingly- it hadn't let me sleep all night

I was lost in my romantic thoughts when yesterday's fly whined right behind my ear provokingly- it hadn't let me sleep all night. I was going to blow it's ass up this time. You don't play with my sleep.

"Colloportus!"  Had to lock the door, just to be sure.

The fly literally played tag with me- but before long, I lost sight of it.

"Shit!" I screamed, despite the fact that it couldn't have gone far. My eyes searched for it, madly ambitious, peeling the dead skin off my lips at the same time with unnecessary stress. Finally, I found the naughty little fly. It probably thought it was so smart, camouflaging itself on the black couch. I sneaked up to it, the Daily Prophet in my hand, and... BAM!

I sighed with relief and went to join the rest of the family. I found a dress with back cleavage excessively mature for Stella's age, but the crafty little kid had bought it with his father anyway- and I got to see it at the last minute, no refunds. Although, I have to admit, it looked very pretty on her with it's laced sleeves and flowers adorning it. Luna was rather like a princess: with it's puff sleeves and pink, feathery fabric reaching the ground. Lastly, Draco was wearing a grey tux- oh well, he could look handsome in a rubbish bag too, or without any clothes. Scratch that.

Rosalind wanted us to bring Brian as well, on the other hand, he found weddings a "catastrous disastrophe"- he couldn't do whatever he wished, had to dress accordingly, there was always a younger kid who stole the attention or didn't want to play his games and the worst... a smack in the bum from the elders. So we let him stay with Lysa.

"Bye!" We blew him a kiss before heading off to the car that awaited us. We didn't want the girls to get dizzy from apparating. The weird thing is, they gave us a funny look when we told them this, and I never found out the meaning of it.

After an hour's drive, we arrived at the wedding venue. It was on the hills, with a beautiful view of The English Channel. On each wooden table, there was a vase of lilies. It was a thoughtful choice.

A lot of people had lined up in front of the photo booth. Some of the press members were there- it was the event of the year. I recognized Arthur Weasley, whose hair had whitened, inquiring the photographer- his passion for muggles hadn't passed even after all those years.

I turned to the girls, only to see emptiness. I frowned, my hands gathered around my tight bun. Draco laughed at me. "Chill, 'Mione, they went off to play with Lysander and Lorcan. And I'm going over the dessert bar, it looks scrumptious!" It truly seemed so: tarts, cupcakes, ganache...

"Right, Luna's baby twins. I'll go find her, she would show me the bride's room," I said with a smirk. Man, I was slowly turning into Draco.

Finding Luna wasn't that hard, she was talking about wrackspurts with her husband, Rolf Scammander. "Hey, sorry to dive in. Can I borrow Luna for a second? I need help finding Rosalind."

She complied, so we walked to the other side of the hill. There was a small cottage. Voices of hair dryers and rhubarb could be heard from the outside. We opened the door to see 25 people working in a 15m2 room, there literally wasn't enough room to breath. I hardly eluded from the crowd (as the organizer, Luna constantly had something to check) and reached Rosalind's side, whose back was turned against us.

"Well hello there!" I tried to make my voice heard over the cacophony. When she turned back for a warm welcome, I gaped. She was wearing a silk, strapless wedding dress that was inclined to show the best assets of her body. Her veil stretched to the entree of the room and her hair was curled at the tips, resting beneath her shoulder.

"I'm so happy for you," I congratulated with a hug. "Now, is there anything you need? I came a bit late, but I'm ready to make up for it. In the long run, I have to make sure it's the most perfect day for you as your maid of honor."

"Thanks! A little gossip would do, I'm really bored here." She chuckled.

Just as I was going to give her some advice mixed with juicy stories about Draco, Luna rushed back in. "The groom is ready."

A make up stylist replied whilst applying more of the mascara to Rosalind's eye, "A little retouch... Okay, we're ready to go!"

I held the back of her dress along with Patil twins, Andromeda and now-forgiven Ginny Weasley. She walked down the aisle by herself, slowly, in grace.

The groom was waiting her in the altar, the most charming smile on his face.

It was eye-watering to see my best friends getting married.

I glanced at the table in the second line where Rolf, Draco and the girls were watching with pure interest, and bubbles of drools slipped down the heart-shaped lips of the Scammander twins. Soon after shifting my gaze to the front line, I grimaced, wondering why didn't a whole line (and supposedly of dear friends) was missing this event. Leaning towards Luna, who was wiping away her tears of joy, I whispered, "Who was supposed to be in the front line?"

"Well... Godric Gryffindor, Lily and James, Snape, Sirius, Tonks, Lupin and Dumbledore. And there's an extra seat in the Weasley's table, next to George, for Fred."

I blinked. I didn't want to cry a river and ruin all my make up!

I returned to the reality as the priest started talking. "What a lovely day it is, to connect two heartfelt lovers. We should not make you wait any longer, let's pass to the formality," he sighed. "Harry Potter, do you take Rosalind Gryffindor for your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"

"I do," Harry replied with a smile.

"Rosalind Gryffindor, do you take Harry Potter for your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"

Rosalind was enthusiastic to respond, she had been waiting this day for so long.

"I do. Forever."
