"I know Disha is evil. She is the reason for your divorce," she said.I bitterly smiled and asked, "Does that change the fact that she also succeeded in doing so?"
"But-"
"Whosoever it may be...the truth is that Arjun didn't trust me. I trusted him blindly but he didn't. End of the story," I replied.
"I told you that it will make you feel bad," she said.
"I am not feeling bad...I am just-"
And there was a knock on the door. Diya stood up to open the door and the moment she did that, our eyes grew wide in disbelief.
Disha was standing at the door with an angry look on her face. It seemed as if she would thrash Diya right there.
"What are you doing here?" She asked while she eyed me with disgust.
"I was talking to my sister," Diya replied, in a bold tone.
"Sister? And who am I?" Disha pressed her teeth together and her nose flared in anger. She didn't shout though.
"You are also my sister," Diya replied.
"Why were you here when the puja was going on?" She asked.
"What's your problem dude? Go, get a life. I don't like smoke from havan and that's why I came here and Amaya di has come back after so long. We were just talking," she said casually.
"You better have just talked. Dare you say a word about whatever happened in past six years," she warned in a very low tone but unfortunately I heard it all and felt bad for Diya.
She sounded a little more than cautious. She clearly didn't want me to hear anything that she was speaking to Diya.
What more happened in past six years?
Dad got a heart attack, I left, Arjun and Disha started dating again and Diya married the man who was rumoured to be my love interest! Fuck...what more had happened!!!
"Hi Amaya," Disha's twisted tone brought me back to staring at her like a crazy psycho.
I just smiled in return...Ofcourse not willingly but reluctantly.
God what's happening. I never ever wanted to see anyone again in my life who were really important people for me once upon a time. I just wanted to disappear and I did but then destiny literally played a very dirty move and it brought me back to those immense pain and heartbreak I never wanted to experience again. She eyed me one last time...with spite, as though she was looking at my face with disgust and rage and then walked away, never forgetting to drag Diya along with her.
"Bitch," I cursed under my breath as I walked out of the room and just when I was about to enter the living room, a voice got me stop just in the middle of my path.
"Where is she?" I could not mistake this voice to be someone else's than my father. That heavy, deep voice...
"She is here...she wanted to meet you. I said you didn't want to meet her," my mother's voice came.
Ofcourse!
"What does she want now? Why has she come here?" He asked, his voice was dripping with rage.
"Arjun hasn't yet fully divorced her. Court needs proof. So..."
"Why is she getting involved in the wedding functions?" My dad cut my mother off in the middle.
"Arjun wanted her to. I don't know what is he planning to do now," my mother said.
"I don't want that filthy daughter of yours loitering around in my house. If I ever see her doing something that brings bad name to our family...I swear you and your daughter will have to pay," this isn't how my father speaks. I leaned a little closer to the door and peeked through the door that was slightly ajar. Yes, he was my father...my very own father but why was he calling me mom's daughter and not his.
