I was on my way to office after dropping the kids off to school when my phone started ringing.

Meera ofcourse.

"Good morning Amy," she chirped.
"Good morning Meera. All good?" I asked.

"Yup," she said and then sipped something.

"So?"

"Are you free this afternoon?" She asked.

"Uh why?" I questioned back.

"It's important," she replied.

"Ok...wait a second," I put her on hold and asked my PA if I had anything important this afternoon and since there were no meetings or fabric selection lined up she told me that I was almost free.

"Yeah, I'm free. Now why may I know please?" I asked.

"There's a lunch at my place and Tahir is going to come. I told him about us and he was like woah...that pampered kid remembers me?"

"He thinks that I was a pampered kid?" I asked in a slightly amused tone.

"Yeah, sort of," she laughed it away.

"What the hell? I wasn't a pampered kid!" I cried.

"He thought so and so did Ruhaan," the mere mention of Ruhaan got all the hair on my body standing.

"Ruhaan?" I could merely whisper his name. "Who?" Both of us very well knew that there was just one Ruhaan in my life and somewhere I knew she was talking about the same. That guy...he didn't ever bother to even look at me.

"You forgot?" She laughed again.
"Seriously, tell me yaar Meera. Who?" I asked again.

"The one with whom you got locked in the boys' washroom,"

Fuck!

Slow claps...

"The one whom you wrote a heartfelt sorry letter...The one who literally stopped coming to tuition class because someone called Amaya Vanishree bullied him for sleeping in the Biology class...The one-"

"Okay stop, I remember him," I started laughing but I knew it wasn't one of most apt reaction to the situation. Infact, I didn't know how to react. I was no doubt trying to recollect every single thing, picture his boyish face and remember all that I did to him and then those three months I had to spend frantically searching for him after class 10 ended. Yeah. I remember that guy.

"Finally," she announced and then continued, "See you at one at my place. Don't be late,"

"No wait Meera-" before I could ask if Ruhaan was also going to join us, she already hung up on me leaving me in confusion for sometime but then I shrugged it off saying to myself, Why on earth would Ruhaan join us? Silly!

I had planned to go to Meera's place from my office itself. I changed into a nice, more casual outfit there in the office and wore  a flared yellow dress, pairing it with a denim jacket and white sneakers. I pulled my hair into a high pony tail and kept my face sans make up.
