We reached my parents' house where the Thaka was going to be hosted. I was in awe of the decoration that was done there. It was already seven in the evening and the guests or let's say, 'Family and close friends' had started arriving.

Arjun and I walked inside the house and instantly I started getting this feeling of an 'outsider' in my own house.

It sucked as hell but it was the fact. Arjun just disappeared after a while and I was left all alone.
I felt like I was in a desert, left alone to survive.

I took a seat at the bar and gazed the scene of the bustling house. Just when I started enjoying my own company, my phone started buzzing and this time, I don't know why but I was a little scared to take the unknown number.

I answered the call and heard a voice that took my breath away.

"Amaya" I heard Meera's voice.

"Meera?"

"How are you Amy?" She asked.

"I am good sis. Is everything all right?" I asked.

"Yes. Aryan got hurt while playing with Lucy and..."

"WHAT? How is he now?" I asked. Shit! Damn. I stood up from the stool and started panicking.

"He's fine. He just wanted to meet you," she tried to calm me down but freaking no...how can I calm down.

"Meera I am on my way. You just tell me how did this happen?" I asked as my eyes tried searching for Arjun and alas, I found him.

"Karan, Aahana and Aryan were playing with Lucy and he just fell down and hurt his forehead but nothing serious. He got three stitches-"

"And you are calling me now? And by the way, who the heck is Lucy? Is she some new maid? Fire her right now," I was beyond angry.

"Calm down. Lucy is our new dog," she clarified.

Oh!

"Whatever, I am coming," I said and hung the call.

I walked towards Arjun who was busy talking to his best friend, Parth.

"Amaya?" Parth looked at me with a confused face. "She is in Delhi?" He asked Arjun still looking at me.

Happy realisation Parth!

"Yeah," Arjun replied staring into my eyes...

"Hi Amy," he hugged me and Arjun's face looked like a rotten tomato.

I rolled my eyes and hugged him back.

"I never saw you here," he said.

"But I saw you right on my second day in Delhi," I stated.

He smiled and said, "It's so good to see you here after so long,"

Arjun's eyes were turning red...maybe due to jealousy and anger.

Stupid!

I was obviously in a hurry to leave this place and I also knew that Parth would keep talking to me to make things difficult and so I just excused Arjun and me from him and dragged Arjun to a corner.

"Arjun, listen...I need to go," I said.

"Why?" He coldly asked.

"Aryan got hurt while playing and I cannot leave him alone right now," I said.

"What? How did this happen?" He asked.

"As if you care," I muttered.

"Amaya..."
