Chapter 15: Truth

"I'll leave it to you then. Take care of my car. It's more precious than my sister," my brother told JB.

"Excuse me?" I raise my eyebrow which made him and JB laugh.

"Don't worry. I can handle it."

And Jb looked at me cunningly.

"Unlike my sister, right?", my brother interrupted which makes my eyes roll.

"Can't you just go now?" I asked him, quite irritated.

"Arasseo, arasseo" he said, trying to hold his laughter. "I'll go now" and he tapped Jb's shoulder.

I went in to the car and so was Jb.

"Are you sure you can drive?" I asked him.

He laughed. "You doubt my skills?"

"I'm just confirming. I haven't seen you drive before."

"You just don't see me because I don't have a car."

"Exactly! How did you learn if you don't have one?"

"Do I have to own a car just to learn it?"

"O-of course", I said, stuttering. He got me there. And I'm quite irritated he didn't let me win.

I heard his small laugh and while I was looking at the window, he suddenly moved closer to me and set my seatbelt. It was so sudden that I couldn't even react.

"I didn't know you're cute when being teased" and he smiled, not looking at me.

It took me a second before I could response. I clear my throat to ease the tense.

"I'm always cute." And that made Jb laughed. Damn it, did I really say that?

And that's how our day started, we spent our time, sharing non-sense thing just to overcome the 3-hour travel ride.

"Is bed mattress a really good wedding gift?", he suddenly asked.

"It's better than mugs. Ha-ha."

"You're right, that's too common."

"But honestly, I don't know what will I say to Lena eonnie. I'm quite embarassed because after all that happened I didn't even contact them", I confessed.

"They understand you, Hara. What's important now is you're ready to face them. That's what actually they are waiting for."

Tears suddenly fell on my cheeks when I saw Lena eonnie walked on the aisle. I cried even harder when I remember what Ri-ah told me before, that they used to share their ideal weddings and want to be each other's maid of honors. I don't know if these are tears of joy because Lena eonnie finally fulfill her dream wedding or tears of regret because Ri-ah wasn't here to witness everything. Perhaps, both.

JB pat my back, trying to calm me down. And it was helpful.

The wedding ceremony has ended but the after party was still on. We started to eat. I mean, me only because Jb is still on a diet. He just literally tastes the food. Poor Jb.

From time to time, I was staring at Lena eonnie. I'm just looking at her from a distant, trying to find the perfect time to approach her. But circumstan,e didn't let me because there are lots of visitors who personally came to her and congatulate her.

After a spoonful of dessert, I looked at her again and luckily, she saw me. A smile was drawn to her face, a smile of relief, like she was saying she's happy to see that I'm okay. She excused herself to the visitor and hurriedly came to me.
