Chapter 22: Day 1

9:30 pm. Got7 finished their shoot. They went for a dinner together with the staffs but JB didn't come and choose to stay with me.

"Is it really okay if you won't go there?", I asked, concern that he might get scolded for not tagging along.

"I told the manager that I have something to buy and I'm sure the boys will not drag me down"

The staffs didn't knew I was there all the time after the break, got7 just hid me. Hiding there felt like a hell to me, I feel like I was holding my breath for the whole hour, too afraid of getting caught.

"What do you wanted to talk?", I asked, started swinging on the swing.

We went on a playground nearby

"Nothing in particular. I just wanted to stay with you, to make up for the days that I didn't get to see you"

I laughed but it was a laugh of happiness and not a sarcasm.

"It's okay. I knew this gonna happen. And I knew you'll get even busier in a few days when you start your promotion"

He went to my back and softly move the swing for me.

"Aren't you scared?", I asked, the same question Jinyoung had asked me. "Scared of the consequences of seeing me like this? "

"I do", he said.

I suddenly bit my lips, I didn't expect him to answer right away.

"But I'm more scared of losing you"

I know I am someone important to him, a person he don't want to lose. He once told me he likes me but I knew I will always be his second best. Because Riah will always have his heart, which I understand.

"Why would you lose me?" I asked. "No matter how it gets hard, you'll never lose me."

"It's different now, Hara. I no longer want to lose the people I love"

He never told me he loves me. Therefore, hearing the word love from him is a new feeling to me.

"I love you Hara and I don't want to lose you"

He started holding my hand which is holding on to the swing.

I looked up to him and before I knew his lips already met mine. It was a quick and gentle kiss.

I stood up and leveled my eyes onto his. "Do I heard it right?"

He nodded. "I love you, more than just a friend, more than what you thought"

Tears started to fill my eyes but this time it's because of happiness. I thought being just with him was the happiness that I wanted. This is the kind of happiness that my heart is actually longing for. I feel like I'm already complete.

I hugged him and he also wrapped his arms to me, tightly than I do.

"Sorry if I made you wait", he said.

"Thank you, JB" I said, sobbing. "I love you too"

I looked up to him once again, my arms still wrapped around his waist. My eyes started to blur as waters filling it up, but I can still see JB's beautiful face and his eyes is telling me, he really loves me.

Five minutes until my curfew and we already arrived at the dorm, although we wouldn't want to come in yet as we wanted to spend more time together.

"So is is already our day 1?" he asked, his eye smile makes me want to melt inside.

Embarassed of the situation, I slightly nod.

"You're the best birthday gift I ever had", he said.

"I think, I started my new year right" we both giggled, not still used with exchanging cheesy lines.

"I feel bad sending you away, can't you just stay at our dorm?" he asked.

My eyes widened.

"Are you crazy?"
"We can just hide you again inside"

"No matter how much I wanted to stay with you I'm not gonna do that", I said.

"Or you can hide me on your dorm?" he said, a mischievous smile left on his lips.

"We're sixteen inside. There's no way I can hide you there"

A deep sigh let out from him.

"How about see each other early at the morning?" his eyes sparkled as if it was a bright idea. "4 o'clock?"

Well, we had a curfew but they didn't told us we can't go outside early in the morning.

"Not a bad idea", I said, smiling. "So, see you tomorrow?"

I silently open the door and check who's at the living room. Nobody was around but I saw Nayeon standing near the kitchen.

"Good night", I told JB before going inside.

I was about to go when suddenly he grabbed my arm and give me a sweet peck on the cheeks.

"Good night", he said.

I just giggled.

I felt like my cheeks are burning red as I walked inside. I hold my cheeks to cool it off but it seems like the heat was just transferred to my hands.

When I closed the door, Nayeon looked to my direction.

I immediately looked at my watch and it stroked at exactly 10 o'clock.

"You just came on time", she said. "You can go now to your room, I'll turn off the lights here"

I nodded and quickly go to my room.

With two only two double deck and there's five of us, I wonder where will I sleep now that all of the beds have been occupied.

The two were already asleep while Jiwon was still reading a book and Chaeyoung is playing a game with her old nintendo.

"Oh, you're here?" Jiwon noticed that I've arrived. "I thought you'll buy a cake for JB?"

"Ah, yes" I suddenly avoided her eyes. I started to sweat even though it's cold. "I mean no, I just bought a cake and eat it myself. There's no way I can celebrate it with him"

I saw here eyes saddened "I understand. They are really busy these days. Maybe we can celebrate it some other time, when they are free"

I just nodded, unsure of what I'm going to say. "Where am I going to sleep?", I asked, suddenly changing the topic.

"Sorry, we already occupied the bunks. But you can use the pull out bed", she said, pulling it out.

I smiled in relief. I really thought I won't have a bed. I almost thought of just going to JB's dorm. Just kidding.

"Thanks", I said.

"By the way, our manager bought us a phone" she said, while going back to reading.

"Phone? I thought we're not allowed to have one?"

"Smartphone, yes. But they didn't say we can't use an old phone"

I laughed with the thought of using an old model of mobile phone, and yes, with a keypad.

I went to the table to get my new phone but not a new model. My simcard was also there.

Atleast, I can still use a phone, I thought on a positive note.

I insert my sim and powered it on. As soon as it open, a text message from an unknown number came in.

Quit or I'll make you quit.

Advance happy new year everyone! Just wanted to say that I already published my new JB fanfic. Yes, JB again because I wasn't satisfied with this one :( This is my first time writing an english story/fanfic so please forgive me if it wasn't that entertaining.
