Chapter 20: Present

I feel like my ears are turning red with annoyance. I hurriedly ran towards Jackson and left JB alone before I burst myself.

I was seated between Jackson and Bambam with JB in front of me.

"The smell of meat is really good", Mark said as he's grilling the meat together with JB.

"It really smells good when it's free", Jinyoung said throwing a smirk to Jackson.

"I hope I won't hear any complain from you in the future", Jackson said.

"Is it the first time Jackson treating everyone for lunch?", I asked Jinyoung. Trying to be comfortable as much as I could.

"To everyone, yes. To bambam, no" Jinyoung answered.

"Here he goes again," Bambam said, laughing.

"I don't want to hear that story again!", Jackson protested.

But instead, Jinyoung bend over the table and move his face closer to me but still making a decent distance not to make me uncomfortable

I saw JB from the side, peeping on us, waiting on what Jinyoung will do.

"I saw them eating outside one day. I come to learn it was actually his treat. He said he'd treat me too but it didn't happen", Jinyoung whispered, but loud enough to make everyone heard it.

I laughed how cute he is, still holding grudges to Jackson over some meat. The last time I've heard about his grudges was during the camp but it was actually my first time hearing the story behind it.

"What do you call this then?", Jackson asked, putting the pork cuts onto his plate.

Jinyoung laughed, making his eye wrinkles visible "Okay thanks. Although  it took me 2 years to finally get your treat."

"Atleast I didn't break my promise"

"You were trying to abscond. If not with the bet I made, I'll never get to taste the promise you made."

"Stop complaining and just fill your tummy", Jackson said filling Jinyoung's mouth with a huge wrapped meat.

I laugh looking how Jinyoung almost choked up from crunching down the meat.

Everyone laughed except JB who's making himself busy grilling the beef and pork cuts.

But then Jinyoung suddenly got choke, holding his neck. I can see his face turning red but the rest weren't alarmed thinking he was faking it.

I immediately poured a glass of water and offered it to Jinyoung seeing how much he's struggling but before Jinyoung could reach it, JB snatched it from me, which surprises everyone.

That's when everyone began to stop laughing and waited for Jinyoung to gulp down the food with the water I gave.

"Thanks, Hara", Jinyoung said as soon as he finished it. JB looked again to me but I just ignore it.

"Are you trying to kill me?" he then faced Jackson.

Jackson forced out a laugh, "Sorry, just trying to feed you", he's smiling but his eyes are full of guilt.

"Stop playing around", JB then said. "We're here to eat and not to fool."

Everyone started to compose themselves  and silently started to eat. I looked at them and everyone's avoiding JB's gaze.

Is this how JB is to his members? He's somehow intimidating. And I can really see that his members respect him well. In just one statement, he made them follow him.
