Chapter 24: Spam Message

I was preparing my coffee when suddenly Nayoung reached out a cup beside me.

"Why is JB so stupid?" she said as she pour the water into her cup. Words slipped into her mouth casually like she didn't say any repulsive word. "It's really stupid to commit the same mistake twice."

I looked around too see if there's anyone behind us but the people are gathered at the living room and some are still inside their rooms.

"Your mouth, Nayoung. I don't understand why you hate JB so much." I'm not only talking about the way she calls him stupid but the totality. I heard her talking bad shits about JB before but I didn't confront her upon Lisa's request. She told me Nayoung didn't really like JB even before. Even when she knew Lisa likes JB, it didn't changes the way he treats JB. Actually, it was the reason why they fight sometimes.

"And I don't understand why people like him so much. There's Lisa. Then here are you."

"You don't know him."

She chuckled as she leans on the kitchen sink while stirring the cup of coffee.

"I just know how selfish he is. I think that's enough for me to hate him. Seeing him do stupid things makes me hate him even more."

"What do you know about him?" I asked her, squinting my eyes.

She took a sip on her coffee but her eyes are peeking at edge of her cup, giving me a mocking gaze.

"He doesn't deserve to be the leader of got7, Hara. Honestly, he doesn't even deserve to be part of it. He better quit now."

"Who are you to tell him to quit?"

"Don't let your feelings blind you from the reality, Hara. Open your eyes and you'll see the truth. We've seen enough. And there's no reason for us to stay silent. We'll definitely make him quit."

She made her way to the living room, not giving me the chance to talk more. But then I realized what she said,

He better quit
We'll definitely make him quit

It reminds me of the text message I've received the other day.

I ran off to catch her but I bumped into Jiwon who just came out from our room.

"Hey, Hara. I received an odd text last night."

She showed me her phone and the same message appeared. Quit or I'll make you quit.

Chaeyoung heard our conversation and when she saw Jiwon's phone, she suddenly got some goosebumps.

"OMG. I received the same message!" Chaeyeong freaked out which caught the attention of everyone in the leaving room.

"What message?", Nayeon asked from her seat.

"Quit or I'll make you quit!" everyone shouted in chorus. When everyone realized that all of us received the same message, everyone freaked out and scream.

"That's creepy!!"

"Maybe, it's just a spam message", Nayoung said.

She looked at me and a grin left on her lips. Was it you?!!

After what Nayoung has said, Nayeon, who also freaked out awhile ago, suddenly agreed to her. She told us to calm down now and just ignore the spam message.

But now I'm sure who the hell sent those text messages, it's definitely not something I have to ignore. I don't why Nayoung  would do that. What makes her hate JB that much that she wanted him to quit but I'll definitely not gonna let that happen.

We had a practice the whole day but I couldn't stay focus because of what happened. When we came back to our dorm I went to Nayoung's room and confront her.

"What are you trying to do, Nayoung!", I pushed her which makes her stumbled on the floor.

Jennie went to help Nayoung get up while Sooji went to me with fire in her eyes.

"What are you doing, Hara?!"

"Do you know what is Nayoung doing?" I asked her.

I see her pursed her lips. "Y-yeah. And if you don't want them to know you're dating him, you better stay out of this!"

"You told them, Nayoung? I didn't told anyone that you didn't came home that night!"

She chuckled. "I just told you to act like you didn't saw me but I didn't say you can't tell about it. I don't care about it anyway. It's not like it'll ruin my image."

I snapped my forehead.

"I know you don't like JB and all of you are just pretending to like me because of Lisa. But don't do this kind of shit just because of hate."

I turned to Sooji and held her shoulders.
"You don't have to do this just because Nayoung asked you to." I know we're not close but I know she's the least person who will do this.

"I'm doing this for Lisa, Hara" she told me. "We'll do everything to give her the revenge she deserved."

"I don't think Lisa want a revenge" I told her.

"Don't act like you really knew her" Jennie speak up. "We are her real friends and we know better than you!"

"Nayoung is just using Lisa as an excuse but you know Nayoung hate JB even before."

"We don't care about it" Sooji told me. "We're doing this for Lisa. He made her quit then we'll do the same."

"She didn't quit because of JB. She did it for her future", I explained.

"That will not change anything", Nayoung said. She lift her phone up and she pressed the okay button.

My phone vibrates and I just received a text message.

Kindly pass the message to JB. If he will not quit before his debut, we'll reveal something that will make him quit. It'll definitely affect the name of JYP and I know you don't want that to happen.

I ran off to Nayoung but Sooji and Jennie came after me to stop me "Damn you, Nayoung! You're such an evil!"
