Chapter 17: Don't Run Away

My late night thoughts kept me awake until midnight and I woke up even before the sun rises. I'm not even sure if I was really able to sleep. Maybe nap is the best term.

I took my jacket from the closet and walk out from the room, too careful not to wake up my roommates.

I decided to go on the dance practice room to have a morning warm up. This is the advantage of being a level 2 trainee, being a literal resident of jyp. Although our room is not spacious, we could access anything inside 24/7 except the gym.

If I were asked if I am okay, I'd say no. Healing doesn't come overnight. Moving on is not a one day process. I'm hurt but my life doesn't have to stop there. I once lived in the dark and I don't want to go back there anymore.

Maybe I just have to hold on that thought that Jb likes me but he can't still love me.

I was walking down the hallway when I heard some noises from the lobby. Being the curious me, I decided to go there to check from whom those noises are.

I saw Lisa's friends and their team manager.

"Why is Lisa not coming?" the team manager asked Lisa's friends, looking furious.

"S-she had a fever"

"Why now, out of all the time! You know she's the main girl of the mv! And neither of you is fit for the role!"

The team manager really looks problematic. But above all, what worries me is Lisa. She looks definitely fine yesterday. I wonder what happened to her. Is it because of overfatigue? I hope girls give her some meds. It's not really good to leave a sick person alone.

I immediately send her a text message, asking how she is and said I'll visit her later.

I was about to go back when suddenly someone put his arm over my shoulder.

"Hey friend!" It was Jackson. "You're also here for the MV?" His loud voice catches everyone's attention.

I gave him an awkward smile. I don't want them to misunderstood Jackson's behavior towards me.

I bend down and slowly escaped from his arm. I akwardly smile and was about to say I'm not but then the team manager butt in and said, "Yes, she's part of the MV. Good thing you know each other already. Filming would be easy."

I gave the team manager a what do you mean face. But he just smiled at me.

"Hara noona!" It was Bambam who just rushed over me.

Why are these boys so friendly with me? I mean, I'm not complaining. Just wondering.

"Oh Bambam" I said, a bit awkward.

"Hey, what are you guys still doing? We're about to leave!" a guy shouted, I supposed it was got7's team manager.

Jackson and Bambam wave at me and run over the team manager.

"See you there!" Jackson shouted.

I was left with Lisa's friends and their team manager.

"Sorry to drag you in. But I just needed you. Your visuals perfectly fit for the main girl" the team manager said.

"Save us, juseyo" I heard Sooji mumbles beside me.

I look at her and saw her pleading eyes.

"So, let's go?" the team manager said.

After seeing Sooji, I just couldn't say no. And also, a part of me is saying, if I go, I'll be able to see Jb. Although it's a torture for me, I would still like to see him. Maybe that's the real reason why I wanted to go.
