HELLO my Lovelyz!
First off, I am so SORRY that it took me so long to write this chapter. But with school and the start of track practice, I just need some time to chill. Updates will probably be slower now, around anywhere from every other day to up to a week. I'm sorry, please have mercy on me T-T.
Second, this chapter is the fluff before the angsty, Langst chapter that is coming next :).
Now please enjoy the read! :3

"Keith, have you seen Lance anywhere?!?" Allura practically yelled over the hysteria of preparing for the show.
"No? Did you try calling or texting him?"
"Yeah, no answer though. I wonder if he decided not to join after all..."
Keith was now worried. Lance had stopped texting him at around two a.m. yesterday and he had figured that he just fell asleep. But since then, he hadn't texted him once. Keith had tried texting multiple times with no answer. Calls were the same and now he wasn't at the show to work or answering Allura. On top of that, Keith didn't know why but he was anxious about something last night.
But what could he do? He had a show to perform in and he didn't even know where Lance lived. So in the end, the only thing he could do is think about him and hope that things would be ok. The whole show went this way, with him zoned out, almost missing his cues because of it. He spent intermission mostly alone. Shiro was there now and again to give him empathetic looks and reassure him that Lance was probably fine.
It was at this point in time that Keith realized how little he really knew about Lance. He didn't know where he lived. He didn't know his family. How many siblings did he have? What were his parents like? His mother, his father? Did he go to school? If so, where? He didn't even know how old he was. He ignored the twinge of pain in his chest. He didn't really understand why he was feeling all of these things about a person he had known for not even three days, but it was there along with the helplessness that he couldn't ignore.
Time inched by and the show finally ended, still no Lance. Keith was at a loss. Lance still hadn't texted or called him back.
"Keith," Shiro said suddenly setting his hand on Keith's shoulder. "He probably just forgot about it or something..."
"Yeah, I really doubt that's the case, Shiro." Keith snapped, shrugging his hand off. He knew that Shiro just wanted to help, but he really wasn't. Someone wouldn't just not show up for work on the second day, right?
Unless he wants to quit? Lance wouldn't do that, right? He said he would always be there when I need him. But I barely know him. Was I jumping the gun? What if he was lying? People do that a lot. It's like a second nature to them.
People lie and leave you alone all the time. Mom and dad did. They were supposed to love you unconditionally. What makes him any different?
Keith was struggling to keep his conscience in check. It was always like this, a never ending battle in his mind. The only time it wasn't was when Lance talked to him.
"Hey Keith, where are you going at this time of night?" Before he noticed it, his legs were already taking him somewhere. He needed to clear his mind.
"For a walk."

Keith could only think of one place Lance would probably be if he wasn't at home. Not that he knew anything. He was probably just at home anyway, but it didn't matter. Keith liked it there too, it was serene and exactly what he needed to calm himself down.
