Chapter3: Title Defense

Skyler
         It's lunch time so we decided to go to the cafeteria.
Habang papunta sa cafeteria napansin kong maraming mga mata ang nakatutok sakin at hindi ko gusto yun.
"What bothers you?"tanong ni Allison. "Kasi... Hindi ako comfortable sa mga tingin nila. Bakit ata parang sa atin nakatutok sa'tin,"sagot ko. "No Skyler nakatutok sila sa'yo remember ikaw na ang may hawak sa twelfth position. But don't be bothered you'll use to it soon,"sagot niya. "I hope so," bulong ko. Nasa hallway na kami ng makasalubong na naman namin yung Janella. Palagi na lang ba itong mang-iistorbo sa pagkain namin? "What do you want, Janella?"tanong ni Allison. "I just wanna congratulate the new holder if the twelfth position,"sabi niya sabay tutok ng espada sakin saka umatake siya. She thrust her sword forward at muntik na akong masugatan sa pisngi buti na lang at nakaiwas ako. "Are you trying to kill me?"tanong ko. "You think so?"sagot niya. Napansin kong tumabi ang mga students and at the center of that enormous hallway kami na lang ang nakatayo. Prohibited ba ang mga actions na to dito??? Kainis wala akong masyadong alam sa magic. Pero sa self defense by physical means, baka  pwede pa. She fires two lava balls at my direction. Damn it. I jump to dodge the incoming attacks. How the hell am I gonna defend my self.

"Summon me,milady,"a voice came out of nowhere. I suppose its the black colored dragon from earlier. "But how?"I mentally replied. "Desmond, I summon thee. Repeat it milady,"he replied. "Desmond, I summon thee!" I  exclaim.

Then fogs filled the room. And out from it stood a black dragon with its yellow eyes. He sheilded me from here attacks. The dragon roars that made Janella sit on the ground feeling embarrassed. "Ugh... This is unfair you have a dragon and I don't,"she said. "Hmm... You're right I agreed.

"But milady it's my pledge to protect you,"he refused. "Hmm... I do not consider you a thing but a friend. Maybe you can transform into a dagger, can you my friend?" I replied. "As you wish,"he replied.

Then he turns himself to a dagger. The weight of the dagger suits my taste. "Are you done?" She asks. I simply nod. She immediately attack trusting forward. I immediately bend sideways. She attack in an arc and so I block it with my dagger. We've been this for almost ten minutes. "Why don't you attack!"sigaw niya. Napansin na niyang puro depensa lang ginagawa ko. "How come you call it a battle if it's one sided. Come on, attack me!"she challenge. "I didn't call it a battle, you do. And for what ?"sagot ko sabay tanong. "To claim the position of the twelfth,"she replied. Oh great! Shall I defend the title or not? If I give it up I don't have to worry more about additional attention but it will to the hands of this girl. No way! "Ok I made up my mind," bigla kong sabi. "Ano yun? You'll gonna give it to me," sabi niya sabay smirk. "Go Skyler! Wag mong ibigay yan sa babaeng yan!"sigaw ni Allison. I look straight into her eyes. "I won't give up the position," sabi ko. Nagalit na siya kitang-kita sa mga mata niya. She really want the position. I was blocking her attacks when she suddenly shift and aim for my right arm and successfully place a wound there. Ugh... I cannot fully use my right arm ko na siya ring gina gamit sa paghawak at paggamit ng dagger ko. I notice the dragon like carving in the dagger as my blood flows into it I feel more I feel more determined to win. Although pains gets into me I denied it. She attacks in another arc from her lower left going to the upper right, I managed to block it with my left hand and turn to aim for the back of her head. I hit her head with the pommel of my dagger. I immediately disarm her. In just a short period of time I already placed her sword horizontally on the back of his head while my dagger is placed horizontally  on her neck. "One move or you're dead,"I warned her.
          I heard claps and cheers from the group of students who watch our fight. "Well done, well done," a voice came loud from the crowd. It's the headmistress. "Well done, Skyler. You defended your title. I am very satisfied from the performance. For someone who live back on Earth, you have skills in combat," sabi ni headmistress. "Not at all I mostly use this as my self defense that's all," I replied. "Meet me at my office at 5 this afternoon," sabi ni headmistress. "I will,"sagot ko. "Dumaan muna kayo sa infirmary mukang malalim ang sugat mo," sabi ni headmistress saka umalis. Agad na lumapit sakin si Allison. "Oh my gosh! Skyler, mukang malalim ang sugat mo dumaan na muna tayo sa infirmary. At yung ng nga naantala na naman ang oras ng pagkain namin ni Allison. Hays... Ba't nga naman kung saan oras na pagkain dun pa naghamon ng away.

Infirmary
Pumasok kami sa loob ang we saw the school's nurse at her desk. Agad siyang lumapit sakin. "Anong nangyari dito?"tanong niya sabay tingin sa sugar ko. "Naglaban sila ni Janella to settle a matter,"maikling sagot ni Allison. "Ganun ba sa tingin ko nagalit mo ng husto si Janella that's why you end up here,"sabi ng nurse. "Come own Alam naman nating kung sino nagpasimula, right?" Sabi ni Allison. "I know dear, I know,"the nurse replied. "You should've seen Skyler fight. She fight Janella with only using her dagger," Allison said with delight. "You defeated Janella? Unbelievable... Well then Congratulations!"sabi nung nurse habang ginagamot yung sugat ko. Medyu mahaba pala ang sugat d ko lang napansin. Hindi ko na rin pala hawak si Desmond. "Bakit naman unbelievable ang ginawa ko?"tanong ko. "No one dares to fight with her. Most of the opponents she challenged forfieted the game. Hindi kasi nakatatagal ang kalaban niya even for 10 minutes because of her attacks. She's jusy like an uncontrollable fire,"paliwanag ng nurse. Now I see. She fights harsh with no mercy. "How did you manage to last with her?tanong ng nurse. "Since masyado siyang aggro I keep on playing defensive. Until such time na makakuha ako ng tamang timing para ma disarm siya at tapusin na ang laban,"paliwanag ko. "Sayang nga lang at d mo siya nasugatan man lang," sabi ni Allison. "Allison, I mean no harm. Ayokong manakit at is a pa d pa nagsisimula ang klase ito na agad image ko,"pagsalungat ko Kay Allison. "Dear wag mo masyadong intindihin ang iniisip ng iba ang mahalaga ginagawa mo lang ang tama,"payo ng nurse. Tumango na lang ako.
